What are your thoughts on him...

39 receptions for 461 yards and one touchdown in nine games this season..missing 7

Is 32 years old. Would be very cheap if the pats were interested in WR depth..but not sure about his fit.

He could take over Collies role pretty well.

No thank you.

I would rather have the significantly younger Collie. Burleson will be 33 in August.

I bet Burleson will still be playing when Collie retires in a year/month.

This is a great example of how WRs are so overhyped/overrated. Everyone has heard of Nate Burleson, as he is a household name. He has never been spectacular in any way; he had one season where he got a shade over 1000 yards, and that's in 11 seasons. But everyone has heard of him, while no one cares about #2/#3 cornerbacks, safeties, offensive guards, etc.

Since we no longer have the white Wes Welker on the team doesn't it make sense to sign the black one?:D

Supposed to be a good locker room dude. He has some skills. Is he dependable or will he be? He has some injuries (self inflicted pizza run) but we only has one WR that was not out for stretches.

If you took four of the releases today and signed them, the Pats would be a better Team in 2014. How about S Delmas, DE Will Smith (was great as a 4-3 DE) to rotate with Jones and Nink, Burleson and Richie Incognito (if he is released and it looks that way) and I would chance him. Then pick up Sidney Rice and Owen Daniels and re-sign Talib and Edelman and Blount and I say we are on our way. The Draft is for depth.

Just my thoughts Cousins.

If we're looking at veterans that the Lions just cut, I'd rather have Louis Delmas. He's pretty decent when he can stay healthy (which he did last year). Better than Gregory, at least.

Burleson is like a Deion Brance a solid WR2 but not spectacular.
