Atlanta at home on a Monday night vs. a turnover prone rookie QB: big advantage Atlanta.
Jets DL is good, but their secondary isn't (Milliner who's played so-so thus far is also out): big advantage Atlanta.
NY has 2 of their their 3 RBs returning for this game: Ivory & Goodson. However, Ivory's hamstring is a pull waiting to happen. Goodson gives them a swing pass breakaway threat they've not had. However Goodson's playing his 1st game of the year--there's being "in shape" and being in "football shape." Powell (former 4th rd pick-Louisville) is their only dependable back; decent moves, good pass blocker.
Jets with the return of these 2 RBs would be smart to try and run the ball more, to keep the clocking moving, not put it all in Geno Smith's hands so as to limit the turnovers. If they put it in Smith's hands and he continues with the turnovers, the Jets with their secondary vs. Ryan throwing to Jones, White & Gonzalez on a short field will eventually pay for it, and it probably will snowball and get out of hand.
Atlanta 31-34; Jets 10.
