MNF: New York Jets at Atlanta Falcons - Preview and Prediction
By: John Morgan

MNF preview; real reason for releasing and re-signing Marquice Cole; difficulty of playing consecutive road games in the NFL...

game thread: Team Suck (Jets) vs. Falcons on MNF

With all the negativity from yesterday's game, it will be fun to revel in the futility of the pile of garbage that is the NEW YORK JETS!

Go Falcons!

:rocker:

I'm expecting another vintage three-INT performance by Geno Ohno.

Atlanta is still pretty banged up, but this is a game they have to win. The Jets suck.

Three pass attempts to Sudfeld?

Gonzalez and Ryan should team up to have another big day

Falcons 34
Jets. 17

Sudfeld is inactive tonight for the Jets. Too bad, though not surprising

jets d is going to give falcons problems. Falcons are an overrated team .

Bummah! One less reason to watch.
But I still will.
Goodell owns my soul. :(

The Jets DL should dominate the Falcons OL and they will need to because they don't have anyone good enough to keep Jones & Gonzalez quiet!

Atlanta at home on a Monday night vs. a turnover prone rookie QB: big advantage Atlanta.

Jets DL is good, but their secondary isn't (Milliner who's played so-so thus far is also out): big advantage Atlanta.

NY has 2 of their their 3 RBs returning for this game: Ivory & Goodson. However, Ivory's hamstring is a pull waiting to happen. Goodson gives them a swing pass breakaway threat they've not had. However Goodson's playing his 1st game of the year--there's being "in shape" and being in "football shape." Powell (former 4th rd pick-Louisville) is their only dependable back; decent moves, good pass blocker.

Jets with the return of these 2 RBs would be smart to try and run the ball more, to keep the clocking moving, not put it all in Geno Smith's hands so as to limit the turnovers. If they put it in Smith's hands and he continues with the turnovers, the Jets with their secondary vs. Ryan throwing to Jones, White & Gonzalez on a short field will eventually pay for it, and it probably will snowball and get out of hand.

Atlanta 31-34; Jets 10.

I really thought in the offseason this Jets team would be one of the worst teams in NFL history, 1-15/2-14 bad.

Why dont the Jets SUCK, they just suck instead. :(

Falcons are sloppy on special teams.

Yup, Jest are still a mess

Gee-No! is such a dummy. Slides two yards short of the marker and signals first down. Then he gets flagged for delay on fourth-and-one in the red zone. :bricks:

The Rats at least look like they're ready to play...theses Falcs look like they're pansies waiting to get picked

100% a catch...nice challenge

Ryan with the genius challenge...

what part of this catch is NOT a catch to Moron Man?

Wow, this game has some sloppy ball security. Falcons got extremely lucky there.

Another dumb Rex challenge. Shocker!

falcons aren't very good
