Exactly!! They had frigging one second on the clock after the penalty; why not take the 3 points and narrow the lead when it was still the first half?

Even I started to mumble about what a bad call it was even before they snapped. Terrible call IMO.

They're a hell of a lot closer to 2-3 than they are to 4-1.

I don't know. Jeremy Kerley is a decent WR, Hill is improving in year 2, and Holmes is a headcase but when healthy a serviceable WR.

The reason the Jets sucked in 2011-2012 was they didn't have the amazing supporting cast to mask a bottom 3 QB in the league. If Geno keeps this up, they won't suck.

The JEST may sack Big Ben 12 times, they should be 4-2 when we travel to the Meadowlands.

They are also a TB linebacker meltdown away from being 2-3. It can work both ways.

The Jets defense looks good and if enough opposing teams tackle as poorly as the Falcons did last night, then they could be a playoff contender.

The Jets "run D" looks good......the passing D is average at best. Atlanta still put up a 28 spot on them last night which makes their D actually worse than the Pats.

The O is as good as the Pats......which btw if you happen to read any of the other threads around here s*cks.

Let's not get carried away about how good the Jets are, they have one real strength and that is their run D. Everything else is average at best.

Actually they are a LaVonte David push and a go for it on 4th down instead of taking the 3 points decision by Mike Smith away from being 1-4.

Patriots led 13-3 at halftime against the Jets and by saying that it was Geno Smith meltdown you basically give no credit to the defense.

The Falcons went for it on 4th anyway and scored, so that FG thing didn't matter.

Whatever, the Jets are utter trash, we're going steamroll the division by 5 games.....

But may not have had to go on 4th down being in the red zone up down by only 3 .may have just converted 3rd downs. They could have managed the clock differently and even the jets D wouldve been under pressure to not give a TD to go 4 points under. If you want to look the other way around even then, they went twice for it on 4th down which not only meant they had no choice but also took time of the clock , so really didnt leave much time after jets setup for the game winning FG. As joker said - its very easy - down 2 scores,and kicking a Fg makes it a 1 score game - you do that.
