I am already losing interest. He has 0 Head Coach Experience and only 5 years in a support role.. Maybe I am wrong - we will see.
If most people were being honest they would say its a tough position for anyone to enter into. Not so much unlike taking over as the replacement for TB, not including Cam in that. Deep down inside they probably expect similar results to what they have seen out of the replacement at QB.Wow! After reading the last couple pages of this thread I have learned that the guy who just had his first press conference two days ago is already considered a bad hire by some. Tough crowd. Geesh, give the guy a chance, why don't we? This could be a long year on this forum.
It’s not the same at all. You are creating a scenario and calling that the only thing that applies. You just said, "Again, if you hire a man to lead the franchise and the only way he can succeed is by getting other people to teach him how to do his job and the right decision, you hired the wrong guy."
It's a relevant question. Again, if you've ever gone into your boss's office and told them about something you felt it was important they know, maybe something that wasn't working and a possible solution, etc. it's essentially the same scenario he spoke about. Having them thank you for the feedback vs them telling you to focus on yourself and go back to your desk are two different things. And I feel like the more successful companies often look for that.
Albeit, there are certainly people who they'll want to take suggestions from, and others who should probably just go back to their desk ...
AgreeI am already losing interest.
Kraft has a short window, for me, to get it right.
IMO Kraft is more of an issue than BB was.
I don’t think it’s about why or how Kraft made the decision it’s about whether it was a good one.He made the decision last offseason, based on whatever he saw from Mayo prior to that, although I think he thought that plan wouldn't come to fruition for at least another season or two. He also preached about the fact one thing that's important to him is promoting from within, and he's preached in the past about continuity. He got both of those things with this hire.
To your point, it was a call he - and I'm assuming Jonathan - made. You're right, I don't know how much collaboration there was beyond that. Although I would say that's probably the case with most owners.
Yes someone has to be the least experienced HC ever. Thats not a good thing to be.Someone always has to be first.
Just watch the Fox Five clip above. This stuff doesn't happen organically.Just saying, a "diverse" NFL locker room means having more than a couple white guys. A little confused on some of the stances in here.
Thanks for the not so veiled racist accusation but let me clarify my "true colors" for you: I'm a 100% Ashkenazi Jew who believes that people should be hired 100% based on merit. That would require at least some experience in the position.
Particularly since they fired the world renowned surgeon the day before.Yes someone has to be the least experienced HC ever. Thats not a good thing to be.
Imagine going in for surgery and finding you have the least experienced surgeon ever.
LOL, obviously, that's not ideal, but it's the same story. Someone is always going to be someone's first surgery. At the same time, that surgeon has usually worked with another surgeon a while before doing it on their own. And there are some guys who pick it up quickly and become successful, while others take longer to become good at it.Yes someone has to be the least experienced HC ever. Thats not a good thing to be.

Lol, not even close. You poor victims. I feel so sorry you've had to endure centuries of discrimination. Maybe you and your ilk would like participation trophies too.I’m not sure sudden is relevant. I just think that when half the country feels special treatment for certain identities has gone overboard, it’s odd that someone would point out a view that opposes theirs is “embarrassing”.
Fair to have an opinion but would you mind sharing why Kraft is more responsible than Bill?I am already losing interest.

Mayo is going to bring in some Mustard and Relish and Ketchup to the locker room! A well-apportioned burger... I'm hungry now.Just saying, a "diverse" NFL locker room means having more than a couple white guys. A little confused on some of the stances in here.
I mean that's just not accurate. Study after study has shown it. It's slowly getting better. The NFL integrated black players before the US military officially did! Sports is meant to be a meritocracy if there ever was one.
The NFL is an organization that has brought unity and equality to black (and all qualified) people, creating more wealth opportunity for many thousands of black players than any other industry per capita, and we're suddenly being told that we should revert back to look at color to provide opportunity?
That is why "woke" is mentioned - because that ideology wants to replace equality with equity.
You must be really old dude.Yes - "prove to a player you care" that comment stood out to me - not ideal IMO
