Today is the last day for PUP players to start practicing, starting a 21 day period to activate the player...
Yet not one peep from anyone about the status of Vollmer or Jackson...
Even if neither were ready you would think they would leave the option open by starting the 21 day clock...
What is up...

Unless the buy week does not count???

At this point if we have heard nothing best to just not worry about it and assume neither comes back.

The OL overall has done well and while having Vollmer be nice if Cannon/Solder stay healthy i think we will be okay there. Jackson was not going to make the team anyway. Karras took his spot and showed more on spot duty and early this year than Jackson did all of year last.

Personally I am okay with Solder-Thuney-Andrews-Mason-Cannon as the 5 guys. I want some more depth though but this group has been pretty good. No one will confuse them for the Dallas or Oakland OL but solid play

I think some OT depth and maybe another Guard be nice. Andrews is the weak link but he still has room to improve and has not been horrible either.

This seems like the end of Seabass's time with the NEP.

It just shows the mess the NFL* product has become, when my first thought at seeing the thread title, was that someone was letting us know they were done with the NFL*, rather than being about the perfectly legitimate football discussion topic that it is.

I think the beat reporters said it often enough that Vollmer would need a medical miracle to come back this season. So no surprise there..

Too bad about Jackson.. would have been nice to have some depth at OL.

I hope one of these guys comes back. It would be nice to have one of them for playoff time.

Disagree that Karras would be ahead of a healthy Jackson.
I am hoping both get on the practice field because they will be needed in the event of any injuries.
December injuries as season changers.

What's a "buy" week?

Hey, he could have said a "bi" week....
