IMO, Kyle Arrington is another Patriot who doesn't get the respect he deserves for his play on the field. I'm actually seeing posts in other threads proposing cutting him next year because of his cap cost. He is more than earning his cap number. The guy is having a very good year and, again IMO, he is currently the 3rd best CB on this team and the top slot CB.
"Arrington is rewarding the Patriots with a strong season so far; his current +5.3 overall grade is higher than any single season mark in his career.
Arrington has allowed just 0.7 Yards per Cover Snap, which ranks eighth-best among cornerbacks, and drops to 0.67 when covering the slot. He’s also played relatively mistake-free football, with only one missed tackle, and zero penalties. Not just a cover man Arrington has also chipped in a sack, two forced fumbles, plus a fumble recovery for a touchdown."

"Many thought that the Patriots had overpaid for cornerback Kyle Arrington when they signed him to a four year, $16 million deal in 2013. They were mistaken, as he's living up to that contract. Every time Kyle Arrington slides a bit down the depth chart, he finds a way to sneak back to the top. Heading down the stretch this season, there is no question that Arrington is the Patriots' top slot cornerback, having surpassed both Alfonzo Dennard and Logan Ryan. His play has seemingly improved as well, particularly when it comes to turning his head while tracking receivers deep down the field."

"Why don’t Patriots fans appreciate how good Kyle Arrington is?

That’s a good question. It’s been a pretty solid year for Patriots defensive backs who previously received far too much unwarranted criticism from New Englanders. Safety Devin McCourty is playing at an All-Pro level, Patrick Chung has been fantastic against the run and very solid in coverage and Arrington has been one of the NFL’s best slot cornerbacks.
He’s allowed 12 receptions on 27 targets for 160 yards with one touchdown and two pass breakups on the season. Last week, he held Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton to two catches for 24 yards.
Based on Pro Football Focus’ metrics, Arrington ranks second among 59 slot cornerbacks in snaps per target, eighth in yards per snap and 18th in snaps per target and passer rating against."
