Some may question two OL in the first two rounds. Certainly a lot depends on how Belichick handles Light. You've done a nice job with the trade downs - reasonably attained while not moving down too far. Most posters would be happy with this.

Round 1-

32 - NE: Watkins, Danny - OT - Baylor
Patriots traded #28 to Packers for #32, #129, #197, 2012 6th.

Round 2-

28 - NE: Carpenter, James - OT - Alabama
Patriots trade #33 to Titans for #39, #109.

Isn't Watkins a guard? I doubt many would question it!

I made this mock in FFToolbox and they have Watkins as a OT. But, like you said hes really a guard. They actually have Ras-I Dowling as a FS when he is clearly a CB. So in the second round it shows Dallas taking 2 FS but they are really taking 1 CB and 1 FS!!

I'm OK with WHERE you trade down. I'm fine with how far you dropped. However I believe the Pats need to get a premium from the 2 teams moving up. In other words I want to do better that gettingg more 4th and late round picks. I don't see the point....this year. The goal of this draft SHOULDN'T be to stock OTHER team's rosters and PS's on the last day of cuts.

I'd be happier seeing us trade them into the future for 2nd and 3rd round picks PLUS something this year..

You are much too nice a guy to these other teams, too fair

As far as the players you selected, I'm not thrilled with 2 OLmen in the first 4 and I'm not a Brook Reed fan. Personally (the way your draft play outed, I'd rather see us grab Kerrigan at the top and either Heywood or Wilkerson with our 2nd pick....THEN go for the OT that will be made a RG. But I wouldn't HATE your picks. :D

I would classify Watkins as a four position prospect with LT the least likely. Some teams reportedly are considering him for RT with one unnamed source claiming he would instantly be the best RT in their division.

I like all the picks, even without moving down.

JORDAN, WATKINS, REED and CARPENTER

I wouldn't be surprised if we draft Watkins at 28 and Reed at 33, with no trade downs.

Here, here. These are my hopes for the first 2 picks also.
