Sorry Cousins I want one of those WR's in the Second Round Tillman -Downs or especially *Mingo* in the Second if we go another position in the First.

I like the trade... However, if Anton Harrison's still available at 52 then I'm taking him at 52, Jonah Williams or no Jonah Williams.

I like the Forbes pick, but if I'm going DB then I might've preferred Kelee Ringo here, but it's close...

Why would NE trade down 14 spots just to pay more for a more expensive OT with issues?

I MIGHT have been OK with that trade if it didn't include Brown. We drop 15 or so picks in order to grab an OT with injury issues and lose the ONE OT we had on the roster who was a legit starter. And THEN wind up with a CB who is the only player who might give Thornton a run in a skinny legs contest. No my friend, Stay at 46 and grab Brents or perhaps trade down in the round and pick up another 3rd

Cousin,
Good comments.
Williams was stellar in 2021 (77.1 PFF grade). He was off in 2022....like Trent Brown.
He's 5 years younger than Brown and might be a little more healthy over the years.
He would still be our best Tackle day one.
The Bengals need a RT It sees like a good fit in my humble opinion. We need a LT.
PFF rated Williams as perhaps a solid starter (honorable mention) but Trent was no where to be found. Scary.
Staring the season, which OT would you want to start assuming both are healthy? In the last three years and a sampling, Brown has played in 30 games and Williams 42.
Last year Williams had 6 penalties and Brown had 9.
Just sayin

Maybe its a rumor but it's said OT Jonah Williams is not a good LT Mac is not like Burrow who can improvise with questionable talent or under achieving player.

Doesn't change the fact both are under contract for just one year, with Williams at a much higher salary. I'd do the trade straight up, or maybe with a 4th or 6th thrown in, but not this.
