It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Let see aside from the play you mention which was a key playoff goal line stop. Maybe the biggest defensive play all year. He had 3 pics and 3.5 sacks, thats 6 1/2 plays right there.
Just because you want to spew some crap about getting younger and faster doesn't mean you have to dog JR. JR was a key contibutor last year and will be agian this if he so choses.

So you would be inclined to disagree that a younger, faster defense could produce better results against such top tier quarterbacks such as Kyle Boller, A.J. Feeley, and Eli Manning (all of which burned our defense). I'm not really dogging Seau. I've said already that I love the guy which leads me to believe (other than your other posts around this forum) that you're just searching for an argument. What I'm saying is that he's the oldest part of a VERY OLD defense. If he wants to stay on, fine. Just as long as he's not in on every down and he tutors our younger LBs. And if you say that our defense wasn't mediocre last year, you're kidding yourself.
He is slow and his body is broken down. Is signbabybrady going to try to argue with me that Seau is lightning quick and not prone to injuries?
No way. Junior Seau is a stone cold hardcore football player. Just like Rodney Harrison. The only way he comes off the football field when it matters is if he is carried or ordered off. How much do I love that he plays for the Patriots? How could the Chargers let them go in favour of getting "younger and faster"? How'd that work out for them?

Well let's see... everytime we play, they pick Brady off at least 2-3 times. Keep in mind, this is a QB known for pinpoint accuracy. Really, if it had not been for a gimpy QB and star RB, they had every right to beat us in the AFC Championship. And believe me, nobody hates the Chargers more that I do.
EDIT: Oh and I seem to remember Seau missing most of the 2006 season and he played hurt last year. Once again, love the guy. But he has lost a step and his body is breaking down. You're telling me you'd rather have Seau in than Vernon Gholston? Who are you kidding?

I don't see why everyone thinks Seau or Bruschi coming back means they can't add more pieces at LB. Those guys returning and drafting a LB or 2 are not mutually exclusive. Why would you not want to see both? I don't want to see Seau or Bruschi as every down LBs but both can have situatuional value.
Youth and speed would be great but Eric Alexander and Pierre Woods have those and neither has shown anything on defense. I want to see quality players on defense next year - lack of quality depth has been a problem each of the last 2 years when we have lost a starting LB for the year. Seau comes dirt cheap and frankly I can see no issue with him being one of the 9, 10 or so LBs that the Pats typically keep.
Damn, on the chargers nuts a little.
I think the chargers are a good example for this argument, all the young fast talent they have left them short vs us a few years in row. There is alot to be said about veterans especially guys as Good as Seau and the other so called old guys.
Maybe you didn't notice, but the Chargers didn't lose that game because of their defense. They lost the game because their QB blew his ACL, L.T. didn't even play, and Gates was on one leg. Those are the three main weapons of their offense. Their defense meanwhile picked off Tom three times. The reason we won was because of LoMo's legs. You can't really be this inept. Oh and nice desperation shot. You haven't answered one of my points in this argument so now you're taking pot shots. Perhaps you should just leave the thread and never come back...
Dude you really are an ass if you don't think seau can help this team next year. Look at what he has done while here. At 39 his body is no more or less able than at 37 sure he is not what he was at 27 but he proved to still be very good and makes up for loss of speed with veteran savy.
