repeat offender countless times > first time offender
Yes, very fair point.
The fine seems good to me, the suspension is the idiot tax on top of the fine. And I imagine alot of people will think twice about helmet hits from now on.
Now, how much are the Jets going to be fined for wearing those Christ awful uniforms?
NFL Network and ESPN both reported this. I dont agree with the suspension b/c he did not have any intent to hurt him but it was stupid so he deserves whatever the consequences are. At least this scrub wont see the field for us against cincy.

I would be quite upset if there were no suspensions for the Boldin hit(s). He got hit in the head by the crown of the helmet from both players - the most dangerous way to get hit. This right after the league sent out the memo regarding increased need for player safety.

BINGO!!!! Hadn't seen anyone acknowlege this before. I watched the replay several times today. BOTH players lead with their helmet and made helmet to helmet contact.I would be quite upset if there were no suspensions for the Boldin hit(s). You are a homer.
If this were Harrison you would be calling for 5 games.

The punishment doesn't fit the crime in this matter. It should have been much more severe for BOTH..........
like I said before, the punishment for a first time offender when compared to a guy who has been fined and suspended countless times should not be the same
that is over board, Harrison at his worst never got anything close to that and he has some real malicious shots when he was a Charger. You can not suspend a player for 1/3 of a season for one stupid play and on top of that take nearly his entire salary. For example you would penalize smith more then a player who broke the league substance abuse policyOK let me make myself more clear. That is a 3 - 5 game and a $100,000 hit. I don't care if it was John Lynch, or Troy Brown.
They were all over us for showing no mercy last year, "running up scores." Has it been mentioned that both of these hits were a bit overkill with 27 seconds left and a 21 point lead? I doubt it.
You can observe what happened but you cannot observe intent.I dont agree with the suspension b/c he did not have any intent to hurt him
Technically, since this is a PATS fan site, he isn't a homer. You are a homer.
