Well what you actually aid in your post was 'why the Pats don't use him more is beyond me'. So I explained why, and my opinions on why they will continue to not use his services more barring significant injury. If you're saying he should be used more, then you need to counter my argument...and for that to happen he has to be pushing Lloyd, Welker and also Salas now...who I think has a better skill set.
Fundamental rookie flaws included a poor pad level, holding the ball in the wrong arm and not overing up. The reason he fumbled those two times. He also spun into hits on a couple of occasions. All those factors combined meant he was a walking njury waiting to happen as well as a potential liability with the ball.
His burst, speed and vision were never issues of course. These issues WERE talked about so I don't know how on earth it's the first you've heard of them...they've been mentioned on this foum too. I personally don't thnk he had a fumble issue...but the potential issue was there and before he even fumbled I was arguing his running style was a potential problem.
So no, I'm not referring to the fumbles...I'm more referring to his running style which could have meant more fumbles down the line. So really bringing Salas into a debate about RBs is a tad pointless, considering I wasn't even calling him out on those.
As for the growth of p,ayers, everyone is different. Some are more NFL rady than others. Some were affected by the lockout more than others.
