I've watched this for the last two seasons when it really dawned on me;
Has anyone else noticed that Patriots defenders VERY rarely go for a strip, punch at the ball in a scrum, tomahawk when tackling, etc.?
I understand when BB talks about the fundamentals of the game, etc. and he refers to "form tackling", but where/when does "aggressive play" come in?
If you don't believe what I'm putting out there, watch next week's game and specifically watch an average play and tackle. They just try and get the guy down, they never go for the strip or try to get a turnover. Very vanilla stuff and I think they leave opportunities on the field every week.
