If Brady goes to the Doofins or Jets….

Well, well... Purdy needs reconstructive elbow surgery and will be out 6+ months

SF is now a viable option for Brady

Subtract Brady from the Patriots. Reinsert Bledsoe. How many Super Bowls do the Patriots win? How long does BB keep his job?

Those were great teams with great coaches. It’s impossible to know who would have ended up at QB so I wouldn’t say 6, but 3-4 wouldn’t be out of the question. Brady is the GOAT, but I doubt he would have won more than that with another team, and he may not have ever gotten the chance, as the belief and trust Belichick placed in him, as well as all the great players and coaches they surrounded him with gave him the opportunity to become the GOAT. And Brady would be the first person to acknowledge that, he’s never claimed that it was all him, that dishonor goes to those who got butthurt when he left the team.

Marino was an all time great QB, he never won one Lombardi, Manning was an all time great QB and he only won two, despite being surrounded by HOF talent on offense. Favre was an all time great QB, he won one Lombardi. Rodgers is an all time great QB and he won one. The list goes on but the fact of the matter is that it takes much more than an all time great QB to have the success the Patriots had for 20 years, and the people trying to claim it was all Brady are just showing their ignorance of what it takes to be that kind of dynasty. We all love Brady, and appreciate everything he did for the Patriots, but the idea that some here keep putting out, that it was all Brady, and that Belichick sucks is completely moronic.

Don't worry, he won't go there. There's not enough salary cap for him and all the free agents they need to re-sign. Most SF fans don't even want him. It's nothing but a pipe dream for you, AMFootball, PatsWSB47, and others.
Why do you care? Look it. He may not wind up there. It would be a poetic ending for him though ending on his boyhood dream team. Pipe dream maybe. It would be your nightmare though. That's so obvious. You don't fool anyone

Some red meat for the loyalists:

Maybe he shouldn't have played like total ass in the playoffs.

Exactly, Peyton Manning is a choke artist. If he had half the balls of his brother then he would have won at least 4 Super Bowls.

Favre was an all time great QB, he won one Lombardi.
F'ing turnover machine, especially at just the wrong moment. 1 Lombardi is enough for him.

Rodgers is an all time great QB and he won one.
Peyton 2.0. Regular season hero, postseason loser.

This is the most common overstatement when it comes to this discussion. No one is saying it was ALL about Brady. The point is he was the most important person to the dynasty. He was absolutely essentially to all of it but he obviously didn't do it alone.

That's a thoughtful response. However! Bledsoe was 7-19 with 32 INTs in his last 26 starts for the Patriots. And on top of that he was a hideously bad postseason quarterback. No GD way Bledsoe was winning a Super Bowl. Ever.

Because you object way too much. You're way too invested. You're spending days voicing every reason you can think of to keep him off that team. You're scared all right.

The facts are the Niners have 17 million in cap space and have 25 free agents, which is about half their roster. These include important players like Emmanuel Mosely, Jimmie Ward, Samson Ekuban, Mike McGlinchey, Robbie Gould, and Tashaun Gipson. A good GM would focus on getting back those important pieces and rolling with a young QB like Purdy or Lance rather than throwing money at Brady.

Also, the Niners cap guru is notoriously stingy.

They can go with your plan if they want to finish the season with another loss.

Why pay a QB $30-40 million and end up losing when they can get the same result by paying Purdy and Lance who are on rookie contracts?

Niners just took another hit with their Defensive Coordinator accepting the Texans HC job.

Who's getting paid $30-$40 million? Not Brady. He'll be happy with $25 mil per and a signed Steve Young jersey.

Still $8 million over the cap, and Niners have to sign all those free agents I mentioned if they want to have a good offensive line and defense.

I'm pretty sure they can figure it out.

You always have seen free agents give up a little to play with Brady. I think that happens even now.

I'm not arguing that he's going to be on the 49ers. You on the other hand are desperately trying to convince yourself that he won't be. A good GM blah, blah blah. The 49ers are talking about it, you can bet on that.

Everyone sucks, only you are great. Great post

The NFL world salivates for a 2024 Super Bowl featuring Tom Brady, at 46, finally getting his chance with the 49ers, versus an AFC guy like Mahomes, Burrow, or Allen. Except for one guy who is ****ting his pants at the thought of Tom getting back there with a third team.

About him going to SF? Because it's lame. He's just using that organization to get another ring just like he did with Tampa. You'd think he'd sign there if they didn't have talented players?
Poor Tampa Bay that ended up with a Lombardi just because Tom Brady used them. They were so pissed they didn't even celebrate the SB victory.
