The extent to which Tom opened up his private life to the Commissioner will become clear in the coming days.
The Commissioner’s decision and discipline has no precedent in all of NFL history. His decision alters the competitive balance of the upcoming season. The decision is wrong and has no basis, and it diminishes the integrity of the game
Goodell:
"The conduct at issue here is also very different from the ball-warming incident in Minnesota last year, in which a Carolina Panthers ball attendant was observed warming a ball on the Vikings' sideline; there was no evidence of any intentional attempt to violate or circumvent the rules, no player involvement, and no effort to conceal the ball attendant's conduct. As Mr. Vincent testified, the ball never got into the game and the matter 'was addressed immediately.'" (emphasis Goodell's).
Stupid iPhone and my big fingers hit post instead of editing text. It's been fixed now.......
Brady needs to be suspended for shear stupidity.
What moron A) destroys his cell phone when there was zero need to do so and then B) confesses to it.
This is why Kraft stood down. What an idiot.
Why would they even need it? They can get all of the communications from the providers. We have now gone from mere weapons-grade stupidity (HT to another poster) to galactic stupidity.
Yee with the long-awaited "privilege" argument as to why this whole thing was NOT independent. Good start.
Which would have been a terrible decision when you can just give your phone to Don Yee or whoever to hold onto for as long as necessary. It's not like his options were limited to "expose everything to anyone who asks" and "destroy the phone entirely."
That said, I agree with you that it is largely a red herring. If it were as compelling legally as the league is painting is as being in the court of public opinion, the decision would have come weeks ago.
I work for VZW it can all be retrieved
Brady was NEVER going to have to turn over the phone. He didn't need to.Like personal things???? I wouldn't trust the NFL either and I'd destroy it before handing it over....
The NFL has lied, or misled, about every finding up to this point. I find it both comical and pathetic that people are still willing to buy into the NFL's take on anything, and the fact that they are willing to do so about something that is so clearly aimed at PR is a really sad reflection on human wisdom.

People throughout the country are swayed by the 97% consensus of the mediots that the Pats cheat

Quit being ridiculous. I destroy every business cell phone I have, and any personal smart phone, once I upgrade.
Interesting....where were you on the night of the AFCCG? The plot thickens...Quit being ridiculous. I destroy every business cell phone I have, and any personal smart phone, once I upgrade.
