How can the team overcome the loss of next year's 1st round draft pick?

Here's a list of non-Pro Bowl Patriots 1st rounders during the BB era, excluding Easley and Brown:

- Ty Warren (was an All-Pro once)
- Laurence Maroney
- Brandon Meriweather made it twice but that just shows how ****ed up Pro Bowl voting is.
- Devin McCourty was a reserve at his lone Pro Bowl appearance his rookie year, but has been second team All-Pro twice. Again, how seriously broken is Pro Bowl voting?
- Nate Solder
- Chandler Jones
- Donta Hightower

I knew Warren made 1
I Was excluding he dud 1st rounders
DMAC I counted as Pro Bowler
I forgot about Jones and actually keep forgetting Hightower was a 1st rounder

Warren was All-Pro in 2007 but not Pro Bowl. That was surprising because that was actually not a very good year for him. He probably has Seymour and Wilfork to thank for that.

FWIW, I think All-Pro has more merit than Pro Bowl. Fan voting is ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is. There isn't some formula to ensure the Pats "overcome" the loss of a draft pick. It's a negative for the team. The team has many positives. There really isn't a hell of a lot more to say about it.
