The only reason to reserve judgement (other than no game winners yet) is that most of his kicks have been in the 30s not the 40s (notable exception against Chicago) but his leg is strong enough that there's no reason to think this will be an issue.
This has been in the back of my head all season. Gost barely ever attempts 40+ yard FG's. I remember him missing WAY, WAY right on a 40+ and I remember him making that 52-yarder (which he missed the first try). So I'm still a little worried about this kid, especially with the post-season around the corner. That said, so far he's been pretty decent and it bodes well for the future. Just not sure about the looming playoffs.
I think they've brought him along quite well, all things considered.
