Just some random thoughts that come to mind..
On first impression I think that Stork looked good given the circumstances. I will have to rewatch the game at some point this week but it would be nice to have one less construction site.
Fleming I am not sure. I want to say hit and miss but to be honest I didn't pay enough attention during the live broadcast. Maybe somebody else can elaborate.
I really liked Gronk's TD at the end. I know it happened in garbage time and didn't win us anything, but I liked how he went into 3 defenders and forced his way to the endzone. Psychologically, it is another important step into the right direction for him.
Moreover, I think we dodged a major bullet when Hightower somehow magically didn't tear his ACL on that one play late in the game. The replay looked brutal.
On the negative side, I am concerned about our issues covering tight-ends/physical receivers. Granted, Kelce is a beast that is maybe a season or less away from joining the elite TE club, but we had no answer at all for him. I hope Browner can help with that.
The run defense was Jekyll and Hyde with nice plays followed by allowing big completions. The pass defense is actually ok, even though like everyone else I don't understand why we are not more aggressive. I am curious to see how Browner changes the look of the defense.
The offense was as stale as the rest of the season so far (except that one drive against Miami). I don't think it is easy to diagnose the exact issues since a lot of our problems are interconnected. This is also why I don't expect a sudden sharp increase in performance but rather a steady one over the course of 4-6 games. It will take some time but the OL will get more comfortable with each other, which will make Brady more comfortable and also open up our offense. The only question is if we can stay afloat in the playoff race until we get to the point where we are clicking.
I don't understand why our OL shuffling continued, this time involving our two tackles. Yes, Solder was beat on that fumble but it looked pretty much like a false start to me. That being said, the way he tried to block Hali made it pretty obvious to me that he is uncomfortable and second-guessing himself in terms of technique.
