All would be forgiven but would never happen.
He is Seattle Indy or Denver bound

Or they could move on from McCourty and Wilfork and sign Suh for ~ same Money? Then move Ryan back as Safety.. Just as option.

Magic 8 Ball says......................."I Think Not!"

I don't care who the Patriots tag, as long as it doesn't cost them Chris White...

The Suh Pipedream which would never happen

I've been adamant McCourty was staying. But maybe I need to re think that if the tag is used on the PK.

I think the drop off from McCourty is significant.

lol no. They can't afford another elite safety. Having said that if we weren't the ones losing Dmac and didn't have to possibly face the Seahawks in the SB again I'd love to see a 3 safety defense with 3 elite safeties. That could possibly be ridiculous. Dunno about Earl and Kam but Dmac can play corner too.

Call me a chicken little but the odds of Wilfork, Mayo, DMC and Revis all returning to the team next year are pretty slim. Lots of money and timing issues here...

It could actually mean they feel they are close to a deal with him.

Why do you think they won't sign him now? Why would they wanna pay 9.5 when they could pay like 5-6 a year and backload is contract?

If I'm not mistaken, can't you slap a franchise tag and transition tag a player? Meaning they could actually tag 2 players?

Not referencing Dmac Referencing Such which the poster suggested cutting Wilfork and moving on from Mccourty to get Suh.
I said would be nice but would never happen SUH is Indy or Seattle bound.

At least with transition tag you get compensation in a trade.

There's not much incentive to trade for a player who get transition tagged. If you sign the player and the team doesn't match, you don't have to give compensation.

• A transition player designation gives the club a first-refusal right to match within seven days an offer sheet given to the player by another club after his contract expires. If the club matches, it retains the player. If it does not match, it receives no compensation. Transition players can be signed from March 3 through July 22."

@RapSheet: At this point, it appears Dez Bryant & Demaryius Thomas will be the only WRs franchise tags. Not Jeremy Maclin, not Randall Cobb.

Packers potentially losing Cobb is interesting.

No. It's one or the other.

[The scenario you listed above was true during the final year of the old CBA, but is not generally true.]
