That said, he's a four or five year vet and worth at least a look.
Butler was in several games last year and I would not say he is inexperienced,it looks more like he is not very good at this point.
If the Lions didn't want him I don't want him either.
Karl was working out for the Lions yesterday and clocked a 4.36 in the 40 but they decided not to sign him.
Anyone seen him play?,Last played for the 49ers - He is 28 years old and 6'0" 195 pounds
That workout was pure speed and we could use some speed back there.

In that case, sign the beast. You know its funny but I checked a little on this guy and guess where he was born???
Boston,Massachusettes
Perhaps the Lions didnt sign him because his last name is Payme?
* He has great straight line speed but struggles mightily with change of direction.
* This is why BB's corners usually have decent 3 cone times and decent long speed. One without the other means a short NFL career for a CB.
If you look at the best corners in the league Asomugha, Revis, and Samuel even, none of them reached their peaks until their 3rd years. So when you if you want a CB with experience really need someone who's played in the league at least 3 years to know what you are getting into.
