At least there's an effort to "lighten" Kensil's exposure here by Bedard....perhaps Bedard trying to keep open his pipeline to the league office...Greg A. Bedard @GregABedard 57m57 minutes ago
As New England goes in on Kensil again, 1 thing about misleading "he hates BB because BB spurned the Jets" narrative should be pointed out

Belichick's decision to leave Jets saved Kensil's job and many others for several years. Belichick would have cleaned house.

Maybe Kensil hates Belichick. Maybe Kensil has it out for the Patriots. But Belichick spurning Jets is not the reason.

Like this. This is more likely. If you believe in the KensilMonster.

@GregABedard I assumed the hatred came from years of repeated ass kickings.

Patriots certainly believe that. Kensil testified exchange didn't happen.

@GregABedard do you believe what you reported in May to be true about kensil "got you" moment on the sidelines of the afc title game?
If Kensil was pretty much the NFL's guy in charge on site at the AFCC, then maybe it's realistic to go after him despite the fog of who exactly did or said what. After all -- he was in charge.

I used to like Bedard, but once things looked like they could get potentially ugly for the league r.e psi gate, Bedard turtled and sucked at the tete of Goodell. bedard has been refuting every ounce of info that might be construed as "pro Brady/pats"....

So it doesnt matter it was indepenent or not according to Goodell. This is what they will say in court to kessler. They have prepared an answer for everything , the NFL lawyers. The NFLPA argues that the “Wells Report was not the product of an independent investigation” as Roger Goodell wrote in his appeal ruling.
Goodell, answered in a footnote: “The NFLPA takes the position that because the NFL asserted attorney-client privilege for certain of its communication with Paul, Weiss and because a Paul, Weiss attorney asked questions of witnesses at the appeal hearing, the investigation was not independent. For the reasons stated in the text, among others, I disagree. But this disagreement does not matter: If the entire investigation had been conducted by in-house NFL employees instead of an outside law firm, I would still view it as a thorough and reliable basis for my findings and conclusions and a thorough and detailed means of providing Mr. Brady and the NFLPA notice of the conduct detrimental for which the suspension was imposed.”
