It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I don't profess myself to be an expert by any means, but I caught a couple of UMinn games this year and love the kid Eric Decker. With his injury projecting him to be out of action until July, is it conceivable that he could slide to the 4th round or so? I'd love to get him down there. Thoughts?
Reads like a 4th or later.I wrote a lot on him the last time he was brought up. As a Minnesota fan, I've probably seen every game of his career. Todd McShay recently stated that he believes Decker could still go in the first 3 rounds despite his injury. I heard an interview with Eric a few days ago and he said he was staying in Arizona after the Gophers bowl game to begin working out at API. He said he'd be doing more rehabbing than training for the combine. The last I heard, he wouldn't be ready to run prior to the draft and probably not at team minicamps either. He should be ready to go for training camp though.
The question is: How high do you take a kid who can't workout for you prior to the draft and probably won't be ready for minicamps, further slowing his development?
Positives: Already NFL strong, very good hands, very tough, great size, lots of experience being a go to guy and is used to being double teamed. High points the ball well, will go up and get it.
Negatives: Is not explosive, and is not a burner, unlikely he has the physical traits to become an NFL teams no.1 WR
