Edelman: Broken Foot, Likely Back for Playoffs

You got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em.

Edelman didn't know when to fold 'em on that play, trying too hard to make more out of that play than was there, and now we're in this predicament. Disappointing.

Honestly Jules is done for the year. Gotta move on. It'll take some adjusting but with everyone's binky in Martin, amendola and Dobson we can manage.

How is he done? Torn ACL or achillies I'd agree with you. But if this is the injury being reported he should be back for the playoffs (as long as surgery goes right).

Where are people getting this assumption??

He ll be back for the playoffs though right? 6-8 week injury?

That's actually not true if he has a Jones fracture. 6-8 weeks average.

"The silver lining, if you want to look at it, is Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant set the timetable for a return from this very injury earlier this season when he came back after missing seven weeks. With seven weeks remaining in the regular season and potentially two more until New England’s first playoff game (should the team earn a first-round bye), Edelman could return in time for the postseason."

I like our chances & I like Edelman's chances of coming back! :D

Is it the same injury as dez?

I hope donkeys keep losing and we need bungles to start dropping games.

So all the doctors and analysts are wrong that he can return?

He's got a broken foot. He relies on his conditioning, footwork and agility to be the guy he is. So he is gonna miss several weeks off his feet, lose a little bit of muscle and conditioning, somehow get that back in a couple weeks and be game ready? Sorry but if we learned anything from Gronk earlier, let them heal to 100% before playing another down. And 100% is to the same shape he was before injury. In this sport and position it's hard to play through certain injuries compared to other sports.

If the injury is as reported, then yes.

Ian Rapaport says he could return before the regular season is over

You act like he's going to sit on his Barc-o-lounger, and eat Bon Bons and fried butter for 2 months.

When somebody is seriously hurt, I'm always relieved to hear he's been taken to a nearby hospital. Going to a faraway hospital seems cruel.
