I don't know how much more I'm allowed to say about it on the football forum.

To add a serious note to this thread...

http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=12108

John (Emporia, KS): KC, according to your calculations, will the Chiefs be legit contenders if they do infact sign Ty Law? GO CHIEFS!

K.C. Joyner: Ty Law is a good player but from a coverage point he wouldn't put the Chiefs over the top. Law's modified yards per attempt was 4.4, which puts him in the middle of the league. He did get a lot of interceptions, something the Chiefs could use, but I don't know that he will necessarily match last year's int total. He would be an improvement over their current roster, but I think their defensive problems have been coaching related as much as anything. Maybe Edwards can clear that up.

BTW, I thought this thread was funny too. :D

So far only one team has advanced to the point of making Ty "offerings":

Patriots | Law offer not enough so far

Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald, reports the New England Patriots remain "hopeful" of coming to terms with free agent CB Ty Law (Jets) on a new contract. However, word from the Law side is that the Pats' initial offerings were lacking financially.

Ooh....that's us. The team with the most cap space in the NFL. Probably doesn't mean anything though. ;)
