You're right. The pressure Dumervil provided because of the genius GM tactics were immense in their last SB

I'm not sure how much Ware can command coming off injury - it remains to be seen what he has left.

But I've always had a ton of respect for his game - and think that pick alone makes Parcells' tenure in Dallas worth it

I'd love to see him in a Patriots uniform and catch his second wind.

There's also a good reason why you don't hear as many rumors about the Patriots in free agency as you do about other teams

The lack of rumors involving the Patriots doesn't mean that talks aren't happening - it just means that Belichick is smart

If you're talking about just the offseason alone, the two preseason favorites last year were both in the superbowl.

If you're talking about just offseasons, thats usually because the teams spending the most and making the most noise are usually bad teams. Great teams rarely have money to great teams rarely have money to spend. Denver goes a ahead and gets Ware, and there defense is probably top 6 if not better. I think losing Woodyard is their biggest loss but to upgrade the secondary with Ward and then to upgrade the pass rush with Ware and you have a very good defense to go with an offense that really won't miss a beat with the losses of Decker and Moreno. At least not in ways that they won't be able to scheme around. A Peyton Manning offense with 3 good-great weapons will be able to put up 30+ routinely but a defense that can get 3 and outs and get him the ball back with great field position is another story.

Knew Ware wasn't coming here but to hear that Denver is getting him is disappointing. Another great Pass rusher in the AFC and another defensive upgrade for a team that beat us to go to the SB last season.
