Take Jackson out of that and there are still plenty of people to throw the ball to. Its not like we are dying for more pass catchers like David Thomas.
What I mean is I would like to see some good play from Thomas whether its in his blocking or receiving. I want him to stay healthy very consistently and hopefully get some good playing time. I'm hardly excited for a guy who hasn't played much in Dave Thomas, kind of like Chad Jackson.
It's football. There are injuries. Not all injuries are season ending or even last for more than a few days.
Before we do the "made of glass" thing, we could wait and see what's up.
Silly me, this is a message board, of coarse we won't wait to see what's really going on.

Understand this, though, the Pats are LOADED...almost everywhere.Unlike most teams,we can afford to intergrate young players into the system.

Guys - I agree with you that we all have high hopes and he has a lot of potential.
Now with that out of the way, its fair to say that if every fan of every franchise had as high expectations for 3rd round picks that, excluding one game, has logged 80 yards receiving in 38 team games, there would be a lot of future stars out there.
Lets be reasonable. Meet me in the middle.

Thomas has been injured his entire tenure here.
This guy is real brittle. It's a shame too because he has some real ability as a receiving TE. What's amazing about his injuries is that they're always season ending. It's not even as if he misses 4 weeks, or half a season even. This guy shows up, gets tackled, and then gets carted into storage for next year.
