Well, maybe that isthe difference. Character "issues" were clear and present for Patriots to evaluate. I don't know if any of the Colts players had "issues" prior to becoming employees of the Colts.
I think the whole thing is overblown, but the media does need material.

You miss the point. The Pats establish a reputation for using character as a large part of the criteria for personnel acquisition, and now are being blasted with theiir recent acq's. OTOH, no ones gives a hoot about who/what the defending SB champs acquire.
So don't flatter yourself. The Colts are the de facto squad to be compared to. But this is still a Pats thread, not a Colts thread. Were the Bears the champs, we would probably be looking there for examples.
