Apologies for one more off beat thread before the season officially begins...

This occurred to me after the Carolina game.
I would like the media to take a long look at the post game handshake between Fox and BB. If memory serves, there's a good deal of respect between Fox and BB, yes? So, take away the media circus surrounding BB's/Mangini's handshake and tell me what was different? It would be nice to acknowledge that this particular "storyline" was just so much BS to sell papers etc, and that we can finally stop attaching so much value to how well our coaches shake hands!

So since I'm apparently in my own little fantasy world this morning....Go ahead media, rise to the challenge, what was different from the Fox/BB picture to the Eric/BB one?

No no, she meant "challange", you know, in French.

Re: Challange to the media

Well you're not going to see it in an American dictionary, or even a French one for that matter. It's a very specific dialect.

I'm just messing. It's Friday.

Fixed! Man, you guys are tough today. Where are you when others "here" things and such by other posters! Ok, you've now been elected to the spell check police! Carry on, I'm all for bettering the board!

You need to put a (sic) after "here" or else it looks like you misspelled it ;)

The coverage of the BB/EM handshakes quite possibly might be the most asinine and ludicrous topic in NFL media history. Who has any clue whether or not BB had a legitimate reason? More importantly, who frickin' cares one way or another? Can you imagine Lombardi being criticized for something like this.

Other contenders?

The topic of every single article/column ever written by Peter King.

this is the media speaking "you mean Bill treated Fox the same way as Mangini..mmmm...he must have some beef with Fox than. I wonder where the bad blood came from"
