Cassel Will Screw Up...A Lot

Lets examine just this point alone. I assume you mean three full years STARTING since Cassel is in his 4th year in the NFL in general.

So lets look at the starters around the NFL:
NYJ...Brett Favre....His FIRST year as a starter he had a QB rating of 85.3, right around the same as his career rating. He was selected to the Pro Bowl his first year as a starter. This does NOT fit your three-year theory.

Buffalo....Trent Edwards is only in his second year. Decent rookie year and good first game this year. But we'll have to wait to see if this fits your theory.

Miami...Chad Pennington...His first year as a starter the threw 22 TDs to 6 INTs, had a 104.2 QB rating and led the Jets to a division title. This does NOT fit your three-year theory.

Baltimore....Joe Flacco is in his first year. We'll have to wait and see.

Pittsburgh...Ben Roethlisberger in his rookie year led the Steelers to the AFCCG, was voted to the Pro Bowl and WON the Super Bowl in his second season. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Cleveland...Derek Anderson in his first year as a starter took Cleveland to a 10-6 record (they were 4-12 the year before)....He was selected to and played in the Pro Bowl. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Cincinnati...Carson Palmer....Had a solid first year as a starter and took Cincinnati to the playoffs with an 11-5 record in his second year as a starter. He was voted to the Pro Bowl that year. This does NOT fit your three-year theory.

San Diego....Phillip Rivers in his first year as a starter led San Diego to a 14-2 record and was selected to the Pro Bowl. This does NOT fit you three-year theory.

Denver....Jay Cutler....Now in his second year as a starter. His first year he was the NFL's 12th ranked passer and off to a good start in his second year. We'll have to see how he does this year to see if it fits your theory.

Kansas City....Brodie Croyle....is in his first year as a starter. We'll have to see.

Oakland....DeMarcus Russell..ditto

Indianapolis....Peyton Manning....Really played great the second half of his rookie year and took Indy to the Playoffs and himself to the Pro Bowl his second year. This does NOT fit your theory

Jacksonville.....David Garrard....took Jax to the playoffs, throwing only 3 INTs his first year as a starter. This does NOT fit your theory.

Houston....Matt Schaub...in his second year as as starter but was good last year when healthy. We'll have to see.

Tennessee....Vince Young...did take Tennessee to the playoffs his first year as a starter though he has been mediocre. Time will tell on this one.

NYG....Eli Manning....His first year as a full time starter was average with a 75.9 QB rating. His second and third years were about the same. I see no advance or decline in his performance. He did get hot in the playoffs and win the SB in his third year as a starter. Doesn't really fit your theory as his performance has been stagnant.

Philly....In Donovan McNabb's first full season as a starter he finished second in the MVP voting and took Philly to the playoffs. He made the Pro Bowl. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Washington....Jason Campbell...now in his second year as a full-time starter. We'll have to see.

Dallas...Tony Romo...In his first two years as a starter he took Dallas to the playoffs and made the Pro Bowl both years. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Green Bay....Aaron Rogers....now in his first year as a starter. We'll have to see.

Minnesota...Tavaris Jackson...now in his second year as a starter...we'll have to see.

Chicago...Kyle Orton....now in his second year as a starter...but did start 15 games as a rookie and Chicago went 11-5 and to the playoffs. We'll have to see.

Detroit...Jon Kitna....His first year as a starter in Seattle he won the AFC West and took them to the playoffs. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Tampa Bay....Jeff Garcia...threw for over 4,000 yards and made the Pro Bowl his first year as a starter with San Francisco. This does NOT fit your theory.

St. Louis...Marc Bulger....threw for 3,800 yards and 22 TDs his first year as a starter and made the Pro Bowl following his second year as a starter (and was MVP of that game). This does NOT fit your three year theory.

New Orleans...Drew Brees...was so-so his first two years as a starter, great his third year. It didn't take three years, it took two (he was great the third). But I'll marginally give you this one.

Carolina....his first year as a starter led Carolina to a 12-4 record and the Super Bowl. He had a 113.6 QB rating in that game. This does NOT fit your three year theory.

Seattle....Matt Hasselbeck...improve from 70.9 to 87.8 in QB rating from his first year to his second year as a starter and has stayed right around that rating since. Can't really give you this one.

Arizona...Kurt Warner....well, we all know this won. Won the Super Bowl and NFL MVP his first year as a starter. This does NOT fit your theory.

San Francisco...J.T. O'Sullivan...in his first year as a starter. We'll have to see.

So, lets see. Maybe one guy fits your theory of 3 years to develop. Within the list there are Pro Bowl appearances, Super Bowl wins and appearances, division wins and overall good performance. You said "most" QBs take three years as a starter to develop. Did you just throw that out there because its completely bogus? Did you spend even ten seconds considering if your theory was right before writing a whole thread and somewhat lengthy post dedicated to a theory that is completely wrong and not supported by facts? Seriously?

And lets not forget one guy I didn't put on the list.....Tom Brady....who like several others won the division, Super Bowl and was selected to the Pro Bowl in his first year as a starter. Yet another example that does NOT fit your three year theory.

You might want to dig a little deeper if we're actually discussing fully developed rather than won early only to struggle later or won but continued/continues to have consistency issues...

There were also a couple of guys who may have been NFL rookies but there were certainly starters as professionals prior to debuting in the league...

Cassel will be rock solid. I'll bet he runs for at least 3 first downs.
