Excellent read as usual. Tedy seems really high on Vollmer.

. It's disturbing that it's Week 6 and the Patriots are still talking about getting on the same page and being consistent. The Giants aren't talking about consistency. The Saints aren't talking about consistency. Neither are the Colts. That's why those are the best teams in football.

And your point is?

His point is that they ARE the best teams. Right now, at the early season point. Me, I want the Pats to improve steadily and have their yound D mature by early December. Given the D's youth and the underperformance of the O, we're lucky that the next 3 weeks are the soft spot in the schedule.

Interesting point that Tedy makes about the 3rd receiver. He says watch how Brady does or does not 'look at him'. Excepting very few notable in season meltdowns like we saw in the Atlanter game, Brady's disdain for certain wideouts (Chad Jackson comes to mind) is even more readily visible in training camp situations.

Agreed. History has proven that on week 6, one team can be the most finely-tuned, most consistient & dominant team on the planet and the other team be a train wreck and it's doesn't mean much in the 1st week in Feb.

Let me say that this Bruschi interview is excellent. I really enjoy the insight from previous BB era Pats players.
