According to the Chicago Sun-Times the Washington Redskins have reportedly agreed to terms with Lance Briggs on a new contract.

Hows does this affect the draft;if any?

My take is that if the Skins or any team add an LB on draft day that lessens the likelihood they'll take an LB in the 1st round. That domino affect is a good thing for us since we are potentially interested in an LB

I just checked their website, and the newest story (4/26/07) is about Briggs but it's about his wanting to be traded. I couldn't find anything that said he's signed any contracts with the Redskins.

Unless alternative compensation is worked out between Chicago and Washington, Chicago would be due two first round picks from Washington. Assuming this in fact happens...
