Updated passer rating: 89.9- almost at 90.
TD/INT. 157/79. One TD away from a 2:1 ratio.
Peyton Manning's, by the way, is 280:140. Exactly 2:1.
So far this year has been very enlightening for me with respect to the Brady vs Manning debate - specifically the importance of impact receivers. I have been in the "Peyton is better" camp based on his incredible numbers.
However, given what we have seen from the Brady Moss/Welker trio so far, if all stay healthy, I expect Brady will have his best statistical year as a pro. Going forward, I think the Brady/Moss/Welker connection can go toe to toe statistically with Manning/Harrison/Wayne.
Its still early, but IMO this year really illustrates how truly important the receiving corp is. Now when I consider the Brady vs Manning debate, I see it in this context. Last year was an abberation. Watching Brady operate this year with weapons equal to Peyton's has openned my eyes.
Hell, he underperformed in the playoffs last season. His defense was just lights out.And until last year Manning routinely underperformed in the playoffs.
