Bills at Jets tonight... what would be the best outcome?

Rex gets pantsed at midfield and is wearing Tyrod Taylor boxer shorts...

Ryan Fitzpatrick sucks and is pulled for Geno, who sucks worse...

Rex screws up a trick play...

Revis gets burned multiple times for big gains and scores...

Bottom line, though, IMHO... although I can't stand Rex...

Jets... must... lose.

At 5-3, the Jets are still a quasi-threat to challenge for the division. A loss tonight pretty much ends that. Go Bills.

Agreed, Bills need to squash all Jet's hopes. Actually should be a decent game with 2 good defenses and 2 mediocre QBs. Evenly matched teams.

This game is HUGE for the Bills. The Jets can survive a loss but the Bills can't.

I've been looking forward to watching this game too. Best situation for the Pats is for Buffalo to win, but for the Jets to physically beat them down in advance of our MNF game next week against the Bills.

If the Bills win they'll be coming to Foxboro in full bluster, but they'd be that way regardless. Rex doesn't know any different.

If the Rats win they are only two wins behind the Pats. The lead is actually more than that, but I 'd prefer the Rats lose any hope they have.

At five wins already, they probably won't be drafting high enough to get a difference maker.

Bills. Get both of them to 5-4. More games between the Pats and 2nd place the better. They play each other again at the end of the year as well which will be another loss for one of them.

I don't think there is a "best answer" to the question. A Jets win and the Bills will HAVE to be wondering, "if we can't beat the freakin' Jets, how the hell are we going to go into Gillette and beat the Pats" If the Bills win, it will close out any chance they have of winning the division.

Given my sympathy for long suffering Bills fans, and my hatred for long suffering Jets fans, I think I'll put aside my Rex hatred and root for the Bills. It's a close call.

It really should be a good game, and finally one I'd watch if were on CBS. Ah well.

If you are looking ahead attempting to project which two AFC teams make the playoffs as wild cards, it is a case of pick your poison: not because these teams are strong threats, but because there are legitimate reasons to root against so many of them.

5.) 5-3 Jets
6.) 5-4 Steelers
7.) 4-4 Bills
8.) 4-4 Raiders​

It is not until you get down to those with 3-5 records that you find teams that are somewhat palatable to root for: KC and Houston (though even that is debatable; while I can see rooting for Bill O'Brien and Brian Hoyer, let's not forget the owner's anti-Pats deflategate comments).

11.) 3-5 Texans​

As far as the Bills go, this is the onset of a very difficult stretch for them. Buffalo has already played five home games; five of the next six are on the road, including three in a row starting tonight.

The best thing for us is a Bills win which would put us 3.5 games up for the AFC East. But a tie would be funny
