Who rules of thumb are they? Because I've never seem a GM pull out that sheet. That is basically a Vegas odds sheet for trades

How about this:

Rather than simply telling everyone on this site how wrong they all are, why not input what your guess is as to what the Patriots might be able to get in a trade up and a trade down with one or more of their picks? That, after all, was what the discussion was about, and seems to be a legitimate question leading up to the draft. Perhaps we could all benefit from your wisdom.

I never thought or said that the draft value chart was an absolute, from which actual trades never vary one iota. I just used that as a guide for those wondering what the Pats might get if they decided to trade down, and as a guide for those wondering how much the Pats would have to give up in order to trade up.

Your actually laughable you post things that don't make sense, add stuff that isn't true and I'm the guy that isn't knowledgeable. I tell you what MG you and I can meet in person and put as much money as you can pull together to bet on the table and the person who has more accurate football knowledge takes the money. You tell me the time, the date and the amount and I will be there cash in hand ready to show you how far off you are on so many levels.

Honestly I tried to show you respect in here but you're just out to troll on my and seeing how you supposedly have 5 more years of sharing analysis on football than I even have in this world your pretty petty and immature.

Either way I'm over you if you want to place a friendly wagger I'm in but if you want to keep trolling on me to feel some sense of your manhood don't bother because your really just coloring yourself pathetic.

I would really, really love to make that trade. Whom would the 49ers target at 29 that might not
be available at 34?

Better Question:

Whom would the 49ers target at 29 that might not be available at 31 AND 34?

THEY HAVE 2 PICKS in the 5 following the Pats.

EXACTLY WHAT MORON AT SF would want to trade up for what reason? Granted Pats or Falcons could theoretically take THE GUY they wanted; but if they want somebody that bad; they arent packaging up those picks to get 2 WHOLE SPACES in front of themselves. they will be trying to get to the mid-20s.

The San Francisco 49ers lost safety Dashon Goldson in unrestricted free agency. Also, cornerback Carlos Rogers is no spring chicken.

Eric Reid, FS - LSU
Matt Elam, SS - Florida
Desmond Trufant, CB - Washington
Jamar Taylor, CB - Boise State

Selecting two defensive players ahead of the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft is better than one.

I said we should keep 29 trade our second for a 3 and 4 like 16 posts ago.

While I agree that it is unlikely, it all depends on how the round unfolds. If the Pats are on the clock and the 9ers really want player-x but someone else is willing to move up to 29 or 30 to take that player, they may want to make that move. You also have to look at their draft board. The 9ers have a ton of picks and their roster is one of the more talented in the league. How many players can they really expect to add to it?

If there is a QB available at 29 that has perceived value, then that opens up the trading pool partners a bit for BB.

The answer is any team looking to take a "franchise" QB. 1st round players have an option for a 5th year, opposed to only 4 for a 2nd round pick. My prediction is we continue the draft tradition of trading with Philly so they can grab EJ Manuel.
