I bet he has dozen of similar stories.Only downside I see is maybe Bill shot his wad on this show by telling his Moss and LT stories right up front.
BB's gonna find out it's hard to keep people entertained throughout 17 MNF games.
Not sure if holding back was the way to go, but still, wonder what else he's gonna bring to the table.
Dozens of "I traded a fourth round pick to Al Davis and got Randy Moss back" stories?I bet he has dozen of similar stories.
I bet he has a few Brady stories to tell.Dozens of "I traded a fourth round pick to Al Davis and got Randy Moss back" stories?
I mean you and I will find the stories of trading up for Matt Light or Ty Warren interesting, but how many other football fans will?
Sure, but he just signed up to do 17 MNF games, how long will they last?I bet he has a few Brady stories to tell.
I imagine the rest of his life.Sure, but he just signed up to do 17 MNF games, how long will they last?
Guys got 50 years of coaching experience. I’m sure he’ll figure it out. Just listening to him on the top 100 says a lot of his mystique and story telling.Sure, but he just signed up to do 17 MNF games, how long will they last?
Not sure you could have gotten Bo Nix and a tackle. You never know how far back you can slide. Lots of people were thinking you could get Nix or Pennix in the 20’s.McAfee seemed to be giving him credit for getting some of the people on for interviews. I was impressed with Payton's analysis of Bo Nix. I would have been happy with a tackle and then Bo Nix. We will see how it works. Impressed with Kevin O'Connell also.
He seemed a bit uncomfortable when McAffee made mention of the patriots and how long he had been there.. Bill made a slight pause when McAfee asked him about his tenure.. when Bill was going over film I also noticed he kept mentioning "we"..Hopefully Belichick won't go off on non-sports conversations like McAfee's former BFF, Aaron Rodgers.
I agree. I was sort of hoping for a trade down (unless they really loved someone there at three)...boy, they'd have been desperately hoping that Rattler was better than the scouting reports! Not sure you could have gotten Bo Nix and a tackle. You can’t mess around with a QB. If you think someone win a playoff game, lead your team, can earn a second contract and be a 5-8 year starter, you just have to take them at your spot. It’s not a FF redraft. You aren’t making value picks here. It is your franchise.
I am sure he's got 48 years worth of anecdotes. As much as I hate the Mannings, if he's on there, I'll be watching.Only downside I see is maybe Bill shot his wad on this show by telling his Moss and LT stories right up front.

He will probably want to talk about the actual game so those old stories won't be the sole reason he's on.You and I will love all of those stories, but the average football fan under 30 years old. It doesn’t give a crap about Harry Carson, Mark Bavaro, or Kevin Falk.
No, but he'll have plenty of stories about Ty Law, Rodney Harrison, Aquib Talib and Rob Gronkowski to keep everyone entertain for a few years. You and I will love all of those stories, but the average football fan under 30 years old. His film breakdown alone last night was worth tuning in.
I missed the Lawrence Taylor story, can someone post that....Only downside I see is maybe Bill shot his wad on this show by telling his Moss and LT stories right up front.
