Re: Belichick "It's too early to make any player decisions"

So it looks like you may be surprised if you are expecting the Ax to fall on Cassel,CJ Jones or maybe even Chad Jackson as it won't happen this week - The coach says another week is needed, maybe more to truly evaluate who is going to make up the 2008 Patriots roster.

Another week for those on the bubble as it looks now

And that is the way it should be. That is why 'probation periods' are generally longer than 1 day (or in this matter 1 game) For all of you that are going to say that Cassell has had 4 years - sitting on the bench doesn't count and that garbage time in the Miami game also doesn't count.

That's good, because I'm not sure I can say Cassel played the worst of the three QBs. My first impression had all three doing well for their level of experience and the experience level of their competition.

I didn't get to see the Ravens game until today. Honestly, I don't know why everyone is getting all over Jackson. He wasn't THAT bad, especially for preseason game 1.

Given the rate of injuiries, it seems like Belichick might not need to make any player cuts for a few months

Dookfish, in the other forum, emphasized that
Jackson doesn't get separation - despite all his pure speed.

I didn't key on him ... and neither did the cameras very often ...
but on each of the two patterns of his that i happened to notice on replay,
Jackson attained zero separation.

This is an opinion forum. Posting facts is discouraged.

there's no reason to cut anyone until the roster limit decrease

So if a player hits IR, the 80 becomes 79, right? Yes, I'm a n00b.

There probably will be some minor player shuffling if someone is

cut elsewhere or a free agent like Lynch is signed.
