Bump again!

I just got back home, so I'll try to squeeze in some more before I leave tomorrow.

In fact, most of what I've seen has differed from the (strong) opinions of many on this board. Stay tuned.

D4 12:39 5:39 ATL 22 10 63 Interception

Score: 6; 10

Kickoff: Gramatic KO to ATL 1, a cluster of Patriots, including Izzo and Guss Scott, bust the wall and force the KR to the sideline where Wilson gets him out of bounds, 21 yd return, KO seemed to have decent hang time.

m: 1st and 10
r: Dive over LG, 4 yds
o: WR to each side, TE flanked to each side, TB.
d: 3-4, CBs soft;
DL LeKevin Smith, Sullivan, Santonio Thomas
LB Colvin, Gardner, Beisel, Banta-Cain
CB Samuel, Wilson
SS Sanders, FS Hawkins
b: Poor camera work as always - Sullivan doubled by RG/C goes down with the RG tripping the RTE; L.Smith drives the RT onto the pile in the middle; The C releases off Sullivan and takes on Gardner upfield; Beisel met the LG in the hole and held his ground; S.Thomas stood up the LT/LG, then the LG released to Beisel; Banta-cain set the edge on the LTE; Hawkins blocked by LWR; Sanders met the RWR by the pile and drove him backwards onto the pile.
a: Gardner is credited for the tackle in the NFL.com play-by-play, but Beisel and S.Thomas drove their blockers back into the hole forcing the runner into Sullivan’s dog pile; Banta-Cain did a nice job of sealing the edge and forcing the play to stay inside.

m: 2nd and 6
r: Off tackle run right, 5 yds.
o: 1 WR right, 2 WR left, TE flanked left, TB, TE in motion to right flank.
d: 3-4, Wilson in press on L WO, Banta-Cain outside over the slot WR, Samuel soft, moves up closer off the motion.
b: Samuel is blocked out by the RWR; Colvin is blocked out by the TE; L.Smith is turned out by the RT; Beisel meets the RG in the hole and stands him up; Sullivan is battling the C laterally right and is chop blocked by the LG; S.Thomas is turned into the backfield by the LT and pursues from behind the play; Banta-Cain starts down the line and is met by the LT; Gardner tries to come behind the hole and gets tied up in the Beisel scrum.
a: Beisel plugged the hole and forced the RB to move parallel with the line of scrimmage; Sullivan kept his feet despite the chop block and scraped the C off on Beisel’s stand; Colvin drove in through the TE to get a piece of the RB; Samuel drove in and got a piece of the RB; Sullivan scraped off the center and was the third defender to get a piece of the RB.
n: Beisel has looked good on back to back plays taking on the Gs in the hole.
n: For those who may not know the difference, a cut block is when an offensive player dives at the front of the defender’s legs and cuts them out from under him; A chop block is a slimey Denver O-line blocking technique where the defender is battling with an OL up high and a second OL dives into their legs while they are occupied high, it is illegal and often results in the DL leaving on a cart.

m: 3rd and 1
r: Stretch play right, 20 yds.
o: I formation, WR to each side, TE flanked left-motion to right flank.
d: 3-4, Wilson in press, Samuel backed off on motion, SS up with the ILBs, Gardner faked a blitz over the LG.
b: The whole line slanted right; Colvin was taken outside by the TE; L.Smith was taken outside by the RT and doubled by the FB; Sanders was sealed left by the LG; Beisel was turned out by the RG (the take down wrapped in the G’s arms after the runner was through was a bonus hold after the fact); Gardner was up on a blitz fake and got screened behind Sullivan; Sullivan was sealed left by the C; S.Thomas eluded the LT’s cut block and pursued behind the line; Banta-Cain pursued laterally and was screened out of the action; Samuel was blocked downfield by the RWR.
a: Standard zone blocking stretch play allowing the RB to find a crease and shoot through it, which he did for a big gain until Samuel fought off the block and brought him down; Banta-Cain showed his inexperience by trailing the play instead of taking an upfield angle to get ahead of it.
n: Colvin took a few games last season to start stacking and shedding blockers without giving ground, both of these plays to the right he has been driven outside by the TE, early days yet or he isn’t as comfortable on the right side.

m: 1st and 10
r: Pass to the FB in the flat, 9 yds.
o: I formation, WR each side, TE left.
d: 3-4, press coverage.
b: Colvin ridden outside by the RT; L.Smith stood up by the RG; Sullivan doubled by the C/LG; S.Thomas doubled by the LT/TB.
c: Wilson jammed the LWR coming underneath, was off balance and smacked by the FB; Banta-Cain checked his rush (too bad, he had a good shot at getting in the QB’s face with only the TB on that side) and pursued or dropped in a middle zone on the left side; Wilson picked up the LWR coming underneath in a crossing pattern, which left the FB open in the flat..
a: Atlanta took advantage of a raw LB corps to criss cross the WRs underneath and send the TE up the seam ; Instead of leaving the deeper patterns to the Ss and ILBs, Banta-Cain chased deep leaving Wilson underneath to cover a crossing WR and the FB in the flat, he took the more dangerous player leaving the FB open; Wilson maintained good awareness and was quick in pursuit once the ball was committed, using the sideline to corral the FB.

m: 2nd and 1
r: Pass, incomplete.
o: WR to each side, TE flanked to each side, TB.
d: 3-4, all four DBs 8-10 yds deep.
b: L. Smith doubled by RT/RTE; RTE stayed in for Colvin who dropped in coverage; S.Thomas doubled by LT/LG, G released to help C/RG: Sullivan doubled by RG/C, steered into LG tripled.
c: Banta-Cain jammed the LTE off the line; Samuel met the RWR; Both ILB sat in shallow center zones; Colvin sat in shallow right and marked the TB out of the backfield.
a: Sullivan got good penetration despite the blocking and may have tipped the ball on the throw; the ball sailed high over the LWR guarded by Wilson.

m: 3rd and 1
r: Delayed run to the left, 4 yds.
o: I formation, WR split right, 2 TE left.
d: 3-4, Samuel in press, Wilson in tight.
b: Colvin set the right edge and was checked by the FB on a feint; L.Smith stood up the RT; Beisel filled the hole with the RG; Sullivan bit on the line shift right and was stood up by the C and chop blocked by the LG; S.Thomas bit on the line shift right and was sucked in deeper by the LT; Banta-Cain stood up the flanker on the line forcing the TB inside.
a: Gardner was tracking the TB’s effort to get outside and was unable to fill the hole until the TB committed, he held the TB to a short gain with Wilson, Banta-Cain, and S.Thomas cleaning up; Wilson also stayed outside forcing the TB back into the pursuit; The inexperienced DL pursuing instead of sliding with the OL helped open a big hole, Banta-Cain, Wilson, and Gardner did a nice job of limiting the damage.

m: 1st and 10
r: TE crossing pattern, 14 yds.
o: 3 wide, 2 left, TE left, slot in motion to right flank.
d: 3-4, press coverage outside.
b: Colvin hand checked by WR on flank and released; L.Smith stood up by RT; Sullivan pancaked by RG; S.Thomas doubled by LG/LT.
c: Banta-Cain ran with the TE; ILBs in a shallow center zone; Sanders came up for the flanker sneaking into the flat.
a: Banta-Cain had good position on the TE, the QB rolled out right to open up his throwing lane for the TE’s crossing pattern and made a nice high throw just beyond where Banta-Cain could have done anything; Beisel dropped back to help, but was delayed by the play fake.

m: 1st and 10
r: Run left side, 2 yds.
o: I formation, WR on each side, TE flanked right-in motion to left flank.
d: 3-4, press coverage.
b: Gardner cut by the RT; Sullivan doubled by the RG/C and taken down; S.Thomas doubled by the LG/LT; LT released to block Beisel sealing him inside; Hawkins avoided the FB; Banta-Cain sealed the edge against the TE.
a: Banta-Cain and S.Thomas slowed the TB, forcing him to go deeper to gain the edge; S.Thomas fought the LG laterally to join Hawkins on the tackle, with Colvin getting a piece in the backside pursuit.

m: 2nd and 8
r: WR crossing underneath, 5 yds.
o: I formation, WR slot left, 2 TE right-flanker in motion to slot duo left.
d: 3-4, CBs soft, Banta-Cain shifted over slot on the motion.
b: RT released L.Smith to the FB; L.Smith turned out by the FB; Gardner blitz picked up by the RT; Sullivan and S.Thomas jammed into a scrum by the other four OL.
c: Colvin jammed the TE off line and followed the TB into the flat; Banta-Cain dropped into shallow left center zone; Wilson marked the flanker; Beisel dropped into a shallow right zone.
a: The Slot WR came underneath cleanly (Banta-Cain probably should have jammed him or run with him - but that presupposes Beisel would have known to drop into center field and not shade to the right, I can’t second guess any of them at this point) and was hit by the QB; Beisel came up and corraled him for a short gain; Sullivan showed some hustle chasing the throw upfield and got in a little pile on fun; The flanker was bookended by Wilson and Banta-Cain.

m: 3rd and 3
r: Pass, interception.
o: 2 wide left, 2 TE right-flanker in motion
d: 4-1 dime, press coverage;
DL Colvin, Klecko, Wright, Banta-Cain;
DBs Samuel, C.Scott, Hawkins, Sanders, Wilson, Hobbs;
LB Davis.
b: Colvin blocked by TE, doubled by RB; Klecko doubled by RT/RG; Wright doubled by C/LG; Banta-Cain blocked by LT.
c: Hobbs man on slot; Samuel man outside; Wilson tracking the flanker, Hawkins and C.Scott deep zone, Sanders and Davis at LB zone.
a: Samuel read the play and broke off his coverage to grab the ball; Hobbs had decent position but was turned around chasing his man.

Score: 6; 10

What Pats1 said, some of the favorite whipping boys looked pretty good. Especially since they were working against Atlanta's real number one QB.

Interesting stuff, Box.

I noticed it was the LG/C working the chop blocks on both of those plays.

Not ironically, it was the C occupying Wilfork while the LG gave Wilfork a punch in the lower back.

Matt Lehr is the LG. Todd McClure is the C.

This is what I like in a thread.

By the way, don't ever confuse cut blocking with chop blocking during Box's shift. Trust me, just don't. :D

Are you tracking first string or second string?

Last year the breakdown threads were stickied for the week, right?

Just a note to you shy folks out there, if anything Pats1 and I post confuses you with our shorthand, feel free to PM us if you don't want to risk the ridicule of the deeper thinkers on the forum - we're easy and we will be gentle. :)

It's the first drive, so it is 1st string, yes. :)

First Half

Kickoff: Jennings from 1 yard back in the endzone by Gostkowski, 25 yd return, Jennings works around blocks on Gardner and Andrews but Alexander breaks free and takes him down.

Defensive Series #1 Field Goal

Contributor: Pats1
Time: 15:00 remaining in the first quarter
Statistics: 10 plays (4 run, 5 pass, 1 field goal), 50 yards (36 run, 19 pass, -5 penalty), time of possession was 5:00
Breakdown: 5 green plays (2 run, 3 pass) for -2 yds. (3 run, -5 pass), 5 red plays (2 run, 2 pass, 1 field goal) for 58 yds. (34 run, 24 pass), 5 penalty yds. gained for the Patriots.

1st and 10 Atl 24

Result: Run, Dunn, left tackle, 2 yds.
Offense: 2 WR, TE down left wing, FB weak side, Dunn RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Gardner-Davis-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, both CBs 10 yards off.
Blocking: Wright turns a shoulder into the LG, knocking him into the backfield, but the LG simply pushes Wright away from the play from there
Wilfork slides with the C left but goes too far as Dunn cuts back inside
Warren has free passage into the backfield where he evades the obstructing FB but can’t catch up to Dunn
Colvin engages the TE wide of the play
Gardner initially comes up to meet the LT wide but breaks off as Dunn cuts inside and makes the head-on stop
Davis has to backpedal to evade a cut from the RT, but comes back up to help on the stop
Vrabel is free to roam on the play and goes for Dunn’s ankles as Gardner makes the main stop
Hawkins was the first DB up and was part of the tackle party

Analysis: This play was obviously designed to go off-left tackle, but Wilfork acted as a massive clog on the left side of the line, along with Wright and Colvin, forcing Dunn to cut back inside. Warren and Vrabel, despite being free from blocks on the play, weren’t able to catch up to Dunn before Gardner did. Gardner read the off-tackle first and engaged with the LT. But when he saw Dunn cut back inside, he broke off quickly and made a solid hit on Dunn.

2nd and 8 Atl 26

Result: Pass, Jenkins by Vick, play action, rollout left, 15 yard sideline comeback pattern, 15 yds.
Offense: 2 WR, TE down off RT, I-Form backfield with Dunn at RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Davis-Gardner-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, Samuel a few yards off LWR, Hobbs 10 yards off RWR.
Blocking: Wright beats the LG inside with a quick swim move to force Vick to rollout, but can’t catch up to him from there
Wilfork works the RG into the backfield before Vick rolls away from the rush
Warren couldn’t go anywhere on the RT
Colvin turns the LT’s outside shoulder to get the angle, but Vick senses the pressure and rolls out to get the LT’s angle back
Coverage: Davisdoesn’t bite on the play action and follows the FB underneath and towards the left flat
Gardner bites slightly on the play action, leaving him a step behind a TE deep route
Vrabel drops back into the right flat
Samuel gives the LWR Jenkins a knock towards the sideline before breaking off and staying in his short zone
Hawkins comes up from his deep zone to knock Jenkins out of bounds after his sideline-straddling catch

Analysis: There wasn’t much the Pats could do here in the zone coverage. Jenkins found his niche beyond Samuel’s zone and right along the sideline. The rush from Wright and Colvin lost its steam when Vick rolled out, before hitting Jenkins square in the numbers. Looked to be cover-3 coverage, with Hawkins, Sanders, and Hobbs in the deep zones, and Samuel, Davis, Gardner, and Vrabel underneath.

1st and 10 Atl 41

Result: Run, Dunn, right tackle, 17 yds.
Offense: 2 WR, 1 in motion from right slot to wide left, TE down off LT, I-form backfield with Dunn at RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Gardner-Davis-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, both CBs pressure coverage.
Blocking: Wright loses his footing trying to beat the LT outside and falls to the ground
Wilfork engages with the C but gets a shoulder into the back from the LG and falls to his knees
Warren is pulled too far outside by the RG, giving Dunn a huge hole between him and Wilfork
Colvin engages with the TE on the edge and can’t break off
Gardner is met by the LG and driven back, but breaks off and catches up to Dunn to make the stop
Davis came up and met the FB in the hole but was turned outside to give Dunn enough room to break into the secondary
Vrabel rode the RT in outside containment
Hawkins and Sanders are waiting and the secondary and help Gardner bring down Dunn

Analysis: Much too large of a hole. This was due to both Warren getting too far outside and then failing to stop Dunn when he hit the hole, and also Wilfork falling face first because of a shot at his back. If my mind serves me right, that should have been a penalty, but the LG did pull it pretty quickly. With the anchor of the line at his knees, even Davis meeting the FB in the hole couldn’t stop Dunn from slipping through the massive hole.

1st and 10 NE 42

Result: PENALTY on ATL-E. Beverly, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at NE 42 - No Play.
Offense: 2 WR, 1 in motion from right slot to wide left, TE down off LT, FB weak side with Dunn at RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Gardner-Davis-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, Hobbs pressure coverage on RWR, Samuel 5 yards off LWR.

Analysis: The TE Beverly flinched as the WR ran behind him in motion, opening the floodgates for Colvin and then the rest of the defense to start their engines.

1st and 15 NE 47

Result: Pass, Dunn from Vick, dumpoff underneath, 2 yds.
Offense: 2 WR, TE down off LT, FB in motion weak side to strong, Dunn at RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Gardner-Davis-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, Hobbs pressure coverage on RWR, Samuel 10 yards off LWR.
Blocking: Wright works his way into the backfield on the LT, forcing Vick to sidestep and dump it off
Wilfork goes to work on the LG but can’t get as much pressure on Vick as Wright did
Warren is doubled by the C and RG wide
Colvin rides the FB wide but spins off just as Vick dumps it off
Vrabel rides the RT behind Vick before turning around and pursuing the pass
Coverage: Gardner releases the TE deep before noticing a possible Vick scramble opening, which Gardner goes over to cover, forcing Vick to sidestep and throw it
Davis drops back into a zone but comes up to make the openfield wrap-up tackle on Dunn

Analysis: While Wright and Wilfork’s driving of their blockers into the backfield forced the pressure, and with all of Vick’s deep options covered, the key to the play was Gardner. He was in the QB spy on Vick, read his possible scramble path, and clogged it. So instead of Vick scrambling for big yardage, all he could do was sidestep in the pocket and dump it off to Dunn, who was quickly taken down by Davis.

2nd and 13 NE 45

Result: Pass, Dunn from Vick, flare left flat, 9 yds.
Offense: 2 WR, TE down off LT, FB weak side, Dunn at RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Davis-Gardner-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, both CBs 10 yards off.
Blocking: Wright turns a shoulder into the LG and gets penetration before the C comes over to double
Wilfork gains ground on the RG but not enough to pressure Vick
Warren tries to swim around the RT in vain
Colvin blitzes off the edge but hits a brick wall at the LT
Coverage: Davis shadows Dunn into the left flat but can’t make the openfield tackle on him after the catch
Gardner drops behind the underneath hook from the TE
Vrabel drops into the right flat, shadowing the FB
Samuel comes up from deep coverage to force Dunn out of bonds after Davis missed the tackle

Analysis: Davis should have made the openfield tackle on Dunn for another short gain, but instead Dunn put a move on Davis to spring the play for another 8 yards or so. Vick had a constricted but open pocket to work with. With another short pass, it’s likely the deep, off-camera coverage was good.

3rd and 4 NE 36

Result: Scramble, Vick, under pressure, 16 yds.
Offense: 3 WR, slot WR in motion from left to right slot, TE down off RT, Griffith lone RB.
Defense: 3-3-5 nickel, Colvin/Banta-Cain/Warren line, Davis-Sanders-Vrabel, Hobbs and Samuel pressure coverage, Wilson NB pressure coverage, Hawkins and G. Scott deep.
Blocking: Colvin rides the LT outside before spinning back inside and getting caught in traffic as Vick scrambles past
Banta-Cain gets caught in a double team with the LG and C, along with Colvin and the LT
Warren is doubled initially by the RG and RT, before the RG breaks off, Warren starts to beat the RT, and Vick scrambles
Vrabel is knocked down wide of Vick from a cut block by the RB Dunn, but when he gets up Vick starts to run
Coverage: Davis spies Vick but runs into an official right when Vick starts to scramble, slowing Davis down
Sanders comes up to clog Vick’s first scramble route, forcing him to go left, where Vick slips past Davis and others
Wilsonfollows the slot WR Jenkins into the right flat
Hobbs clashes with his WR at the line, and then sticks with him on a short hook
Samuel is turned around downfield on a deep sideline route

Analysis: A fairly light defense, even for 3rd down. Both Banta-Cain and Warren got taken out of the play by double teams, and Colvin got caught up in traffic himself, leaving some big gaps for Vick to choose from. Sanders did a nice job of clogging one, but Davis wasn’t thinking a step ahead and instead of going ahead and clogging Vick’s next choice, he stuck with Sanders and then met traffic from an official as Vick raced for the hole. From there, a downfield block on Samuel allowed Vick to scamper for the first down.

1st and 10 NE 20

Result: Sack, Vick by Vrabel, -7 yds.
Offense: 3 WR, RB Dunn left, 2 right, TE down off RT, Griffith lone RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Davis-Gardner-Vrabel, Samuel-Hawkins-Sanders-Hobbs, Hobbs pressure coverage on RWR, Hawkins off LWR, Samuel off slot WR.
Blocking: Wright drives the LT back to constrict the pocket but can’t break free
Wilfork spins into the LG but is held away from there
Warren rides the RG outside before spinning back inside where he meets the C
Colvin meets the FB to the left of Vick, where Colvin holds his ground to give Vick nowhere to run from Vrabel
Vrabel lowers his shoulders into the backpedaling RT on the edge, where Vrabel breaks off the RT and grabs Vick’s ankle for a 3-count sack
Coverage: Davisspies Vick
Gardnergives the TE a lick on his crossing route

Analysis: With his deep routes out of the equation, Vick had no dump-off options as the Pats brought 5 on the rush. Vrabel was the only Patriot who broke free from his block and put pressure on Vick, but the other 4 rushers kept their ground to prevent Vick from breaking free of Vrabel’s ankle clutch. After a 3-count from the referee, the play was whistled dead and Vrabel registered the sack.

2nd and 17 NE 27

Result: Run, Dunn, right tackle, 1 yd.
Offense: 2 WR, TE down off LT, FB strong side, Dunn RB.
Defense: 3-4, Wright-Wilfork-Warren, Colvin-Gardner-Davis-Vrabel, Hobbs and Samuel 10 yards off.
Blocking: Wright is stood up by the LT
Wilfork gets another shoulder to his back by the LG when he engages with the C, which again sends Wilfork down to his knees
Warren starts to beat the RT outside before he very quickly turns back downfield into Dunn’s hole, forcing a cutback where Davis and Wilfork make the stop
Colvin is contained on the edge by the TE
Gardner met by the LG and driven downfield but Gardner slips free as the stop is made
Davis meets the FB in Dunn’s hole, forcing Dunn to cut, then breaks off and slams Dunn to the ground with the help of Wilfork below
Vrabel drops back, where the RG comes out and cuts him down
Hawkins was the first DB to the play

Analysis: Excellent hole clogging by Davis and Warren. Wilfork was again the victim of a cheap shot to his back, but this time made the most of it by acting as an obstruction in the backfield to force Dunn into the clogged hole. From there, Wilfork had time to grab Dunn’s ankles when Dunn had to cut, and the tackle was finished off with a hard tackle from Davis, breaking free from the FB.

3rd and 16 NE 26

Result: Pass, Incomplete, R. White, 15 yard out, ball underthrown.
Offense: Shotgun 3 WR, 1 left, 2 right, TE down off LT, RB Dunn to left of Vick in shotgun.;
Defense: 4-1-6 dime, Colvin-Wright-Vrabel-Warren line, Davis at MLB, NB Wilson showing blitz right wing, all 3 CBs 10 yards off, Sanders playing off the TE.
Blocking: Colvin rides the LT behind Vick
Wright can’t get around the LG
Vrabel bounces off the RG before dropping back into a short zone
Warren is doubled by the RG and RT, but gets some penetration
Coverage: Davis spies Vick
Wilsonbacks off and jams the WR Jenkins towards the sideline
Hobbs sticks with his WR R. White on the out pattern, but the pass is thrown wide and low, and White can’t reel it in on a dive
Sanders picks up the TE in the left flat

Analysis: Rushing only 3, the Pats had 6 DBs plus Vrabel and Davis underneath, laying a blanket over the Falcon WRs. Even if the throw was on-target from Vick to White, Hobbs was right there to make the stop a good 3 yards short of the first down.

4th and 16 NE 26

Result: Field Goal, Koenen, 44 yds.

Score: New England 0 – Atlanta 3

Didn't the dirty SOB O-Line coach from the Broncos move to the Falcons?

I saw a lot of similar action on Atlanta's O-line. I consider it lucky that no legs were broken on our D-line.

b: D.Thomas got inside the RDE; Britt drove the LDE out; O’Callghan got in front of the RDT; Yates sealed the LDT inside; Evans took on a LB in the hole; Stevenson tried for a LB upfield; Mruczkowski got a piece of someone in the scrum where Maroney broke through..
a: Keeping the LBs off the LOS gave them better vision and flow to the ball; Maroney was met at the LOS and still churned foward for five yds carrying tacklers; D.Thomas did okay on the RDE.

m: 2nd and 5
r: Pass, Childress, sideline comeback, incomplete.

b: The DL stunted right while WLB and MLB blitzed; Maroney picked up the WLB; O’Callaghan checked the RDT; Stevenson checked the LDT; MruczKowski checked the LDE, Yates checked the MLB blitz.
c: Looked like a deep zone, though the RDE dropped with D.Thomas.
a: Maroney picked up the blitz and looked like he was staggered by the WLB; It looked from this bad angle like the left side collapsed a little bit, which may have just been Maroney and his LB going down in a pile.

a: D.Thomas miscounted the yds needed to get the first down and did his button hook inches short of the marker, he did well to hang on when he got sandwiched.

m: 4th and 1
r: Punt, Miller, 46 yds, fair catch.
a: Andrews was the right gunner, he out ran the blocker inside and was in the face of the PR forcing the fair catch; The second gunner wound up on the ground near the LOS (Tebucky getting his hand hurt?).
