Wonder which series of downs Andy will throw out this game to support his OP that the Pats Pass D is AWESOME..Add Grossman to the list of assassins
It will go largley unnoticed, but the Pats defense allowed only 7 points over the 2nd half of that game. But I forgot, the Pats D sucks
Sssssshhhhhh! Don't let that secret out.
Unless you're statistically speaking, which would reveal that they are better than last years edition.
Well, that's not what you're doing anyways, so it's sorta beside the point.

This years defense is stastically better than last year????? Did you overdose on your KoolAid
That INT to end the game will be the high point.
Defense looked fantastic today. What a great, gritty win on the road against a championship caliber team. Good stuff.
My god. The thread that won't die.
There are times that this defense looks absolutely terrible.
There are times that this defense looks pretty good.
There are times when this defense has the killer instinct of a golden retriever.
There are times that this defense makes plays to save games.
This defense is not dominant, but there is some talent.
This defense is not a complete pushover either.
Since the Bills game, this defense is allowing 18.3 ppg. That would put them 5th in the NFL.
As long as the offense is putting up 35 a game, this defense can win a SB
When this offense does not score at least 30, the chances of winning a title go down precipitously.
It is what it is....

A lot of alliteration by anxious posters, placed in powerful posts.
Andy, leave your basement. To answer your question, when you go 14-2 and you have a bad defense, you lose at home to a team you beat 45-3 with Mark Sanchez at QB because you can't make stops. That's why win/loss doesn't matter.

In keeping with the intention of the thread, the defense has now played well enough to deserve to win 9 times and poorly enough to deserve to lose 4 times.
Check the PPG, sorry if the numbers don't lie.
You've been told 4 times now.
12,094 posts. I think you've earned a break - say 'til around April.
Let me get this straight. Since a 14-2 team with a suspect defense once lost in a playoff game, then winning and losing doesn't matter?
In 2010 the Pats defense was 8th in points allowed, how the hell is this year better.
