BTW- for a midweek practice, the place was packed. Well over 10,000 and a packed bleachers. I mean I have an excuse being retired. I have to wonder if employers know where their employees are.
lol......im a patriot/BB fan......just like poking fun at brady about harmless stuff.....and i like brady as well
if someone put a gun to my head right now and asked whether deus had multiple accounts.......i would say yes........and feel pretty good about it
just my opinion
Just for whatever it's worth to you, James:
ZEUS is a well informed poster and also writes articles on the front page of this site from time to time under his real name. His writing style is very good, and he often combines humor with his analysis. You probably won't see him posting all that often, or at least nearly as often as many others.
DEUS IRAE is also a very well informed poster, who has been here quite awhile, and has a ton of football expertise. I don't believe that he has any other accounts, nor would he care to have any other accounts, from my knowledge of him.
ANDY JOHNSON was a former Patriots player in the older days (unless you are WICKED PISSAH or JOKER, in which case, they were still 70 years old when he played). I'm just joking around and making an easy age targeted attempt at humor. It's actually kind of a pathetic attempt from me...they really aren't even that old.
...how many accounts does deus have?......or am i just being overly suspicious?.....im not expecting you to tell me......but i have my hunches
Deus is an upstanding poster who is very knowledge about football and lots of other things. What you see is what you get with him. Deus is simply Deus and that's that. He posts very well thought out, straightforward posts. Deus is someone who should be looked to on this board for guidance. He is a very nice, fair, and helpful poster who carries himself well. FWIW I hold Deus in a high regard.
Overall, Deus is an asset to this board and you should NOT be suspicious of Deus whatsoever.
The only time I've ever used multiple names, to my recollection, is back in the day when I was an AOL member and they gave you up to 5. I used 1 for the everyday, 1 for internet shopping, 1 for business, and had 2 in reserve. I did use one of the reserve names as part of a gag in a chat room, but everyone except the prank victim knew it was me.
The NSA can probably verify that for you.
Two things:
- Pressure on the Brady INT reportedly came up the middle, from Wilfork, and forced Brady to throw early.
Thank you very much for your kind offer. I'll be in touch in the morning if I can go.Patfanken,
I don't post much nor use many features beside 'next page' or else I'd have replied to you privately. I have two extra tickets for tomorrow's in stadium practice. email me at if you want one.

On another note, what is all this talk about Boyce not being on the field today. I specifically recall seeing him at the start of practice, though I don't recall seeing him much during it.
Watching infrared of someone fart at the airport is more interesting than midseason MLB.
Interesting to hear that Ebner was receiving reps with the ones yesterday, although I imagine that's pretty much the norm in TC to some degree. Hopefully, someone stands out there, but I'm guessing that this is just a case of not officially handing the job to Harmon (a rookie last year) more than a concern that Harmon can't get the job done. Just my opinion, but I think we'll see Harmon getting more looks with the ones as camp moves on.
Best source for camp notes on the net, AF...read it through on today's practice..
The link didn't show-up at first, so I assumed you were talking about Ken's posts, and if I hadn't noticed the link, I would have had to click agree.
Classic Revis. So awesome. I can't wait. This is really exciting, but on the other hand, hearing all these reports that our offense is getting dominated is sort of scary. That's been the theme of training camp, no? Hopefully it's just because the D is OP and not because our offense stinks.
My only concern about the offense being dominated is how it affects the confidence of the young guys and whether that affects their timing when going against lesser D's. If you are constantly being knocked off your route, I'd have to think that affects the way an inexperienced player runs the patterns. Fortunately, TB is not one to be shaken by plays like Revis's INT and Big Vince getting in his face. He'll just work harder at hitting the tight window.
This will probably be my last offering for the next few weeks. The team has their HOF, season ticket holder elitist practice tomorrow (I wasn't invited.....again), and then it will be off to Virginia for a week of work with the Redskins. But for me it was a day of highlights and here are a few observations
BTW- for a midweek practice, the place was packed. Well over 10,000 and a packed bleachers. I mean I have an excuse being retired. I have to wonder if employers know where their employees are.
1. BB let his foot up a bit on the physical intensity today. A lot more team and situational work, so more time for players to be standing around. As a former coach, one of t he things that has always impressed me about BB's practices is how little stand around time players get. They are organized and planned so well. But today with all the team work, players got more of a break.
2.Highlight #1 - Marcus Cannon was once again starting a RG with the first group. This makes hme very happy. The only negative was that for much of the day, our front 7 made the OL miserable. But the D SHOULD be ahead of the offense at this stage of the game. And yes haters, Wendell DID get most first team snaps.
3 Highlight #2 Josh Boyce and Matthew Slater both returned to the practice field. Unfortunately Hooman and Stork remained sidelined (along with Dobson and Easley)
4. IN a team situational period with the offense coming out of the shadow of their own GL, the defense DOMINATED. Revis came off his man to jump a route and picked off Brady cleanly for a pick 6. It should also be noted that the coverage before the pick was excellent as Brady was forced to throw the ball to his 3rd or 4th look in his progression. Revis saw the man breaking open, left his man, and made the pick
5. The defense's reaction to the pick was notable. Wilfolk got right up in Brady's face. The whole defense celebrated, and together they chanted something like "hell no, we won't go" under the crossbars. It could be I was having a flash back to the 60's. Maybe someone who was on the hill could tell us what was actually being chanted. At any rate this defense is playing with a real swagger, and Brady was REALLY pissed
6. The Pats played a lot of 3-4 for the third straight day. Than alignment saw Mayo and Collins in the middle with Hightower coming off the edge as the SLB. I think I'm getting a feel for HIghtower's rush abilities. I'd put it on a par with Ninko's and I'd be very happy if he turns out to be that good a rusher.
I saw one rush where he paired up with Jones to do a crossing stunt with him, good enough to cause a pressure. He also had at least one good rep in coverage on a TE in 7 on 7's
7. The "other safety" carousel was in full swing as Nate Ebner got a lot of first team repws. Also seeing more limited time with first group was Chung and Harmon. And for the record, Ebner looked the part. It was interesting to me that although he's the biggest of the "other safeties" most of the time he wound up with the deep coverage.
8. Highlight #3 - while I was standing in my usual spot by the stairs at the back row, a middle aged couple told me they they had come from Denmark and could I point out Tom Brady to them. I not only pointed him out but gave her my Binoculars (because he was on the far field). They couldn't have been more pleased. I couldn't happier to see them that pleased. Later, I also was able to point out a couple of open seats in the bleachers below us, thus securing my future entry into heaven for this good deed.
9. OT- I sat next to a guy who was a producer over at WEEI. A real nice kid who was just staring out in the business. It was his day off and was there with his father and brother. Of course he was wired into the station so our little section was among to first know about the Lester trade. Ultimately I had to ask a few of the questions we all want to ask about sports media. Here are a few of the answers.
a. D&C are huge douche bags off the air as well as on it. He doesn't know how Dennis still has a job,
b. Dale and Holley are as good guys as you'd think and the best talent on the station.
c. a lot of the controversy between hosts is planned and staged
d. Minnihane is an arrogant jerk in real life and he wonders why he wasn't fired
10, The biggest highlight of my day, however, was meeting the great and powerful ZEUS. It was a pleasure and honor to spend some time and chat with one of the best posters on this board. He is actually smarter in person if you can believe it. If you ever get the pleasure to meet him you won't be disappointed. I look forward to our next meeting down the road.
It is useful. Before my post, did you know that farts could be seen on infrared?I have to say it's just awesome that someone has designated this post as being "Useful."
I'm hardly a Wendell apologist but... Let's be fair. He is one tough SOB, better than any of his competitors in down field run blocking, so far. He seems very able to get out and find the LB on pulls and traps, to spring runners both between the tackles and on wide runs. Plus he calls a good line blocking game.
Like in the passing game, he can have troubles moving a big and good DT when even great technique is not enough. It is merely a question of size. He is undersized. If he were 30 lbs heavier, he would be an AllPro Center. But he is not.
Wendell can play and win in this League and frequently does. Thankfully for him there are only so many Wilforks, Harlottis and Suhs (and Knightons) available, and there are not enough to go around around for all the teams. Even Superman had his Kryptonite; and Wendell has these mammoth guys to rag doll him unfortunately.
The hard-nose, tough guy is still someone I'd want on my Team, even if not as a starter.

Now tell me that isn't more entertaining than the MLB.
