Round 1
1. Kansas City Chiefs -OT Luke Joeckel Texas A&M 6'6" 310
POSSIBLE FA ACQUISITIONS: Andy got their new QB in Alex Smith. No need to force a QB move now in this weak QB Draft class. Joeckel was expected to be passed upon here with the Tag on Albert….But…that Tag is only a one year band aid. They also cut ROT Winston. This pick makes sense. The pick up a DE/OLB from New England via trade. Scroll down.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars- Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State -- 6'4 – 255
The Local State product stays home. This Team needs a tough presence ala Watt. They are desperate for pass rushers and secondary help. QB is a mess.
POSSIBLE FA AQUISTIONS: The Jags should take a shot with Kolb. He is an instant upgrade over Gabbert or Henne.
3. Oakland Raiders-DT Sharrif Floyd Florida 6'3" 303
4. Philadelphia Eagles-CB Dee Milliner Alabama 6'1" 192
5. Detroit Lions -Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU - 6'6 - 270
6. Buffalo Bills (from Cleveland Browns for #8 and 2013 second round for Browns #6 and Browns 2013 third round pick) Thus they block AZ! -Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia - 6'3 - 220 -
7. Arizona Cardinals-Star Lotulelei, DT/DE, Utah - 6'4 – 320 OT
8. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo Bills) -Eric Fisher, OT, Central Mich. - 6'8 - 305
9. New York Jets -Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon - 6'7 – 243. Liked Jones but remembered Gholston. Jordan is safer
POSSIBLE FA AQUISTIONS: Flynn is an upgrade. They also cut Tebow. Guess where Tebow winds up?
10. Tennessee Titans -Jonathan Cooper, OG/OC, North Carolina - 6'3 - 295
11. San Diego Chargers -Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State --6'2 - 217
12. Miami Dolphins -Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington - 6'0 - 186
13. New York Jets (from Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay 2014 second round pick for CB Revis) -- -Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas - 6'1 – 218
15. New Orleans Saints -Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama - 6'3 – 320
16. St. Louis Rams -Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia - 5'9 - 171
17. Pittsburgh Steelers -Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU - 6'5 – 240.
18. Dallas Cowboys -Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina - 6'3 - 305
19. New York Giants -Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame - 6'2 - 255
20. Chicago Bears -Alexander Ogletree, ILB, Georgia - 6'3 - 232
21. Cincinnati Bengals -Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma - 6'7 – 303 LB
22. St. Louis Rams (from Washington Redskins) - Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama - 6' - 220
23. Minnesota Vikings -Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee - 6'3 - 205
24. Indianapolis Colts - Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M - 6'4 - 250
25. Tampa Bay (from Minnesota Vikings through Seattle Seahawks)TRADE Tampa Bay trades QB Josh Freeman to Vikings for Vikings pick #25 and QB Matt Cassel—and Vikings fourth round pick in 2014 - Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse - 6'2 – 229
TRADE AQUISTION: Why? Freeman is going into his contract year. He was erratic in 2012. Coach Greg Schiano gets back his first rounder for Revis and is familiar with Nassib from the Big East. Cassell is the insurance or place holder. They pick up a great TE later in the draft to go with VJ and a decent running game.
Minn. gets a highly talented QB in Freeman with the capability to run the option with A.D.! Big arm. Still young. With A.D ,two decent TE’s and FA WR Greg Jennings he might be the answer over another Draft and miss rookie. Ponder stays as #2 QB and knows system.
26. Green Bay Packers- Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU - 6'2 – 245
27. Houston Texans - Kawann Short, DT, Purdue - 6'3 - 315
28. Denver Broncos - Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri - 6'4 – 295
29. Arizona Cardinals- (from New England Patriots for AZ second rounder and 2014 third rounder)- Matt Barkley, QB, USC - 6'2 - 228
30. Atlanta Falcons- Johnathan Banks, CB, Mississippi State - 6'2 - 185
31. San Francisco 49ers- Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State - 6'3 - 322
32. Baltimore Ravens - Keenan Allen, WR, California - 6'3 – 210
