Round 1

1. Kansas City Chiefs -OT Luke Joeckel Texas A&M 6'6" 310
POSSIBLE FA ACQUISITIONS: Andy got their new QB in Alex Smith. No need to force a QB move now in this weak QB Draft class. Joeckel was expected to be passed upon here with the Tag on Albert….But…that Tag is only a one year band aid. They also cut ROT Winston. This pick makes sense. The pick up a DE/OLB from New England via trade. Scroll down.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars- Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State -- 6'4 – 255
The Local State product stays home. This Team needs a tough presence ala Watt. They are desperate for pass rushers and secondary help. QB is a mess.
POSSIBLE FA AQUISTIONS: The Jags should take a shot with Kolb. He is an instant upgrade over Gabbert or Henne.
3. Oakland Raiders-DT Sharrif Floyd Florida 6'3" 303

4. Philadelphia Eagles-CB Dee Milliner Alabama 6'1" 192
5. Detroit Lions -Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU - 6'6 - 270
6. Buffalo Bills (from Cleveland Browns for #8 and 2013 second round for Browns #6 and Browns 2013 third round pick) Thus they block AZ! -Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia - 6'3 - 220 -
7. Arizona Cardinals-Star Lotulelei, DT/DE, Utah - 6'4 – 320 OT
8. Cleveland Browns (from Buffalo Bills) -Eric Fisher, OT, Central Mich. - 6'8 - 305
9. New York Jets -Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon - 6'7 – 243. Liked Jones but remembered Gholston. Jordan is safer
POSSIBLE FA AQUISTIONS: Flynn is an upgrade. They also cut Tebow. Guess where Tebow winds up?
10. Tennessee Titans -Jonathan Cooper, OG/OC, North Carolina - 6'3 - 295
11. San Diego Chargers -Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State --6'2 - 217
12. Miami Dolphins -Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington - 6'0 - 186
13. New York Jets (from Tampa Bay and Tampa Bay 2014 second round pick for CB Revis) -- -Kenny Vaccaro, SS, Texas - 6'1 – 218
15. New Orleans Saints -Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama - 6'3 – 320
16. St. Louis Rams -Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia - 5'9 - 171
17. Pittsburgh Steelers -Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU - 6'5 – 240.
18. Dallas Cowboys -Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina - 6'3 - 305
19. New York Giants -Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame - 6'2 - 255
20. Chicago Bears -Alexander Ogletree, ILB, Georgia - 6'3 - 232
21. Cincinnati Bengals -Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma - 6'7 – 303 LB
22. St. Louis Rams (from Washington Redskins) - Eddie Lacy, RB, Alabama - 6' - 220
23. Minnesota Vikings -Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee - 6'3 - 205
24. Indianapolis Colts - Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M - 6'4 - 250
25. Tampa Bay (from Minnesota Vikings through Seattle Seahawks)TRADE Tampa Bay trades QB Josh Freeman to Vikings for Vikings pick #25 and QB Matt Cassel—and Vikings fourth round pick in 2014 - Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse - 6'2 – 229
TRADE AQUISTION: Why? Freeman is going into his contract year. He was erratic in 2012. Coach Greg Schiano gets back his first rounder for Revis and is familiar with Nassib from the Big East. Cassell is the insurance or place holder. They pick up a great TE later in the draft to go with VJ and a decent running game.
Minn. gets a highly talented QB in Freeman with the capability to run the option with A.D.! Big arm. Still young. With A.D ,two decent TE’s and FA WR Greg Jennings he might be the answer over another Draft and miss rookie. Ponder stays as #2 QB and knows system.

26. Green Bay Packers- Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU - 6'2 – 245
27. Houston Texans - Kawann Short, DT, Purdue - 6'3 - 315
28. Denver Broncos - Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri - 6'4 – 295
29. Arizona Cardinals- (from New England Patriots for AZ second rounder and 2014 third rounder)- Matt Barkley, QB, USC - 6'2 - 228
30. Atlanta Falcons- Johnathan Banks, CB, Mississippi State - 6'2 - 185
31. San Francisco 49ers- Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State - 6'3 - 322
32. Baltimore Ravens - Keenan Allen, WR, California - 6'3 – 210

Whoever gave this thread 1 star show some respect. He's obviously put some effort into this.

I agree. Perhaps the poster simply thought that this was OT for this board and belonged on the draft board.

can't they do better than a 3rd rounder in 2014?...as far as trading out of the first round, I'm all for it....if they turn it into more picks in the 2nd,m 3rd and 4th rounds

No way Bill trades his first for a 2nd and 3rd.

Maybe two 2s or one 2, 3, and 4.

Are you sure Josh Freeman can run the option? Based on what exactly?

I hope you don't think Tim Tebow ends up here. A year ago i might have said sure, bring him into camp and see what he can do.

But he isn't strong enough to be a tight end, his hands arent good enough to be a punt returner, he isn't fast enough to be a RB and you sure as hell don't want him backing up Tom Brady, if the Jets can't find somewhere to put him what makes you think the #1 scoring offense in the league will.

Tim Tebow is a nice little player who could develop into something eventually, but not on this team, not when they are a few pieces short of a Superbowl and having glaring needs on Defense, Tebow simply isn't worth the distractions which seem to follow him where ever he goes.

You want a cheap weapon with some real potential and upside? Give Edelman a contract.

Are you sure Josh Freeman can run the option? Based on what exactly?

Well in his four years he has gained 902 yard and a 4.7 yard per carry average. He had 4 tds. He's 6'6" and 240. So is is a huge kid. His best 40 was about a 4.8 (he thinks he can do a 4.7). Not bad as far as QB's go, who do not train for that sort of thing. A.D. would certainly run the ball mostly. Although Ponder was fairly fast he is brittle so no one worried about defending him on any option. You just need to make the Defense think Freeman could and run it a few times. He is almost 5 yards per carry to Vick's 7 YPC.

DW....
Do you have Cleveland using their newly acquired 2nd rounder (from Buff) going to NE for Mallett?

I do think that Nassib might make it into the first round, he is a very good QB. I also think that his old coach, now the HC in Buffalo, is the one who is going to take him> Look for the Bills to move back in the first or jump back into the first to grab Nassib. BTW Marrone also brought Syracuse' offensive coordinator with him so yes, they are going to run the Syracuse offense in Buffalo next year.

DW....
Do you have Cleveland using their newly acquired 2nd rounder (from Buff) going to NE for Mallett?

Exactly. Cleveland used their Second Rounder for the Supplement Draft last year. BB is not going to trade Mallett for a just a third Rounder. Lombardi won't give up his first but knows Mallet might be better than Geno Smith with a couple of NFL snaps and camps under his belt. He also has been under the tutelage of Brady, Bill O'Brien and McDaniels so he should "get it" way before Smith. Lombardi knows this and entices the Bills to jump Arizona (I think that Geno Smith is between Buffalo and AZ).

Weeden wasn't this new regimes pick so dropping him to back up is not a problem for them. For the severe Cleveland winds and weather, Mallett has the better arm and is 5 years younger than Weeden.

This way Lombardi gets that second rounder to offer BB.

So the Trade numbers match up close on the value chart. Lombardi swaps his third for the Bills second.
I wanted to add a 2014 conditional pick as well for Mallett but neglected to put that in. So for Mallett the Pats get:
-Browns 2013 second rounder and a provisional 4th or 5th from the Browns in 2014.

OK. Next

-The Pats have few picks this year so BB goes to old friend TB Coach Schiano who really needs a TE and sees Eifert falling into the second even with a first round value, so he agrees to the trade and BB swaps this high second rounder from the Browns, for a third and fourth in 2013 from Tampa and a fourth in 2014. If you look up the value chart it is about correct.

So in essence BB gets four picks for Mallett. A third and a fourth this year and perhaps two fourths in 2014 (Cleveland's and Tampa's) We know he has to give the Steelers a third rouder for Sanders but he still retains a third rounder.I like Lattimore with that pick (most talented RB in this class before injury). He can red shirt him for 2013 and decide which RBs to keep in 2014. I think this is like the Curtis Martin deal. He was injured.

Lombardi was going to take a OT anyway and he winds up with Mallett and OT Fisher. Lombardi had only a third rounder. What QB could he have gotten in this weak class?

Schiano had to give away his first for Revis but he gets it back by swapping Freeman (who he did not have confidence in and was in his contract year) to Minn. (who had two #1s from the Harvin deal) and uses that pick for a QB that he was familiar with in the Big East in Nassib, and he gets Cassel to hold the fort for a while and also gets a first round value T.E. in Eifert. Schiano winds up with Revis, Nassib, Cassel and Eifert.

Per Usual, DW just throws things at a wall to see what sticks. It doesn't actually matter what teams have done...

First, Cleveland isn't drafting another OT. Not after they just drafted one in the 2nd round last year and he earned himself a starting role.

Secondly, Minnesota isn't trading for Josh Freeman. And they sure aren't giving up a 1st AND Cassel for Freeman.

Third , Matt Flynn is not a free agent and Seattle isn't trading him unless they get a 1st rounder for him.

Fourth, you say that KC picks up a DE/OLB from NE via a trade and to scroll down, yet there is nothing..

Lastly, Baltimore taking a WR? Really? After they lost Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Paul Kruger, Danelle Ellerbe, Cary Williams, and Bernard Pollard?

:wha:

So, to the person(s) who gave this thread a 1 star.. Good job.

Typical. I was waiting for the biggest blowhard on this forum to come on and comment. Well if you would look at the other two parts you would have seen but you are lazy, You are the laziest poster on this site. You just say "Cause Da Brun says so! Then it is always "show me". You are so limited on knowledge that you try to make up for it by bulllying the other posters.
Your want every one else to do your work. You think your opinion is the only one who matters and you twist things even if you are wrong,
I post for pleasure and entertainment. My items might not be everyone's cats meow and not everyone is the same.

This post was not a platform on inside knowledge of what a team is definitely going to do. I am sorry to say I do not have a crystal ball. It was suppositions based on facts of what could happen or could not happen. It was for thought but then again...........
I guess I have to waste my time and spell it all out for Mr. Arrogant!

1- "Best Player available". Lombardi is on board with that as he has stated in the past. "Mitchell Schwartz. ... if Schwartz might be best moved inside to guard".

2-I never said I have underlying knowledge that Minn. was making a trade with Tampa. I say it could work. Ponder is not working out in Minn. and erratic at best and Schiano does not have faith in Freeman. Not a big news flash to say they are both looking for a better option at QB to fit their teams. In my humble opinion, this trade helps both. Why keep Ponder and Cassel if they have interest in Freeman? Cassel was cheap insurance.

3-There has been discussions that Seattle will cut Flynn. This is not a news flash either, unless you can't read or mommy won't read it to you. Here go-"It seems to make sense that Seattle would release Flynn rather than carrying a backup quarterback making $7.25 million to sit on the bench".

4-You got me on the scroll. I had to make three threads to fit. I know you are not used to reading but one thing at a time and how dare I expect anyone with your brains and courage to bother to look. I will give you a point...happy young man?

5-I seemed to read somewhere that Baltimore lost a pretty good WR. Oh yeah his name was Bolden or something like that. You can Google him. Google: Google is a web search engine that lets you find other sites on the web based on keyword searches. Google also provides specialized searches through blogs, catalogs, videos, news items and more.

Watch this-"with the Boldin departure we will get a WR in the front half of the draft"

I seems I have read they have also picked up a pass/rusher-OLB type that has been rumored for days.

You do not have to respond to this. You have made your point. I will not retort to your comments on this thread. See I did your work for you again Mr. Lazy!

On yeah...I guess you would be wrong then on this stuff!

DW - After all your idiotic posts that have been shown to be filled with the most laziness, you are the last person to be calling anyone lazy. Not to mention that your knowledge is what is lacking, not mine. This ludicrous idea that I want people to do my work shows how clueless you are.

You post for attention. Nothing more.

No one asked for it to be a platform on inside knowledge. Just for you to actually put some real thought into it instead of throwing garbage at the wall to see what sticks.

What facts? You didn't use facts. You used SWAGS. Plain and simple.

1- "Best Player available". Lombardi is on board with that as he has stated in the past. "Mitchell Schwartz. ... if Schwartz might be best moved inside to guard".

Schwartz to guard? A position he's never played before? Not to mention the guy is built like a tackle... Lombardi approaches the draft closer to Belichick's philosophy than the BPA.

2-I never said I have underlying knowledge that Minn. was making a trade with Tampa. I say it could work. Who says that Minnesota has interest in Freeman? Also, I questioned how much Minnesota would have to give up. You had them giving up their 1st, Cassel, and a 4th round pick in 2014. Freeman isn't worth that. Not even close.

3-There has been discussions that Seattle will cut Flynn. This is not a news flash either, unless you can't read or mommy won't read it to you. Here go-"It seems to make sense that Seattle would release Flynn rather than carrying a backup quarterback making $7.25 million to sit on the bench".

No, there have not been discussions that Seattle will cut Flynn. Seattle has come out and said they have no intention of cutting or trading Flynn unless they get what they want for him.

Flynn isn't MAKING 7.25 Million. That is his cap hit. After all these years, you still are clueless on that. And they won't cut him because, despite his cap hit, they are spending less on the QB position than most teams with him and Wilson combined.

4-You got me on the scroll. I had to make three threads to fit. I know you are not used to reading but one thing at a time and how dare I expect anyone with your brains and courage to bother to look. I will give you a point...happy young man?

You could have posted the links to the other two rounds in your thread. When I have had multiple post on season previews, that is what I have done. Sorry for expecting you to actually be smart about something.

It's hilarious that you call me lazy when you can't even be bothered to think beyond the end of your nose. Yes, Baltimore lost their #3 WR in Boldin. But, they lost 6 starters on defense. You mentioning them adding Dumervil. A situational pass rusher who isn't very good against the run. What about the MLB, the coverage LB, and the 2 safeties they lost? Or the OT and OC they need to replace?

Using their #1 pick on a WR when that is probably the deepest position in the draft and when they have larger holes that need to be filled just makes no sense. It shows absolutely no thought on your part, contrary to what you claim.

Yes, Baltimore lost their #3 WR in Boldin.

First, shouldn't this be in the draft forum?

Second, while I don't care for DW Toys, how are you figuring Boldin was Baltimore's WR3?

WR3 for me = Slot Receiver. And that is where Boldin lined up even more than Welker did.

Oh. Well, at any rate, despite their other holes I don't view a first round wideout as being particularly outlandish. As it stands, their projected starters are basically as bad as ours.
