Cassell is the insurance or place holder. They pick up a great TE later in the draft to go with VJ and a decent running game.
Minn. gets a highly talented QB in Freeman with the capability to run the option with A.D.! Big arm. Still young. With A.D ,two decent TE’s and FA WR Greg Jennings he might be the answer over another Draft and miss rookie. Ponder stays as #2 QB and knows system.

I hope you don't think Tim Tebow ends up here. A year ago i might have said sure, bring him into camp and see what he can do.

But he isn't strong enough to be a tight end, his hands arent good enough to be a punt returner, he isn't fast enough to be a RB and you sure as hell don't want him backing up Tom Brady, if the Jets can't find somewhere to put him what makes you think the #1 scoring offense in the league will.

Tim Tebow is a nice little player who could develop into something eventually, but not on this team, not when they are a few pieces short of a Superbowl and having glaring needs on Defense, Tebow simply isn't worth the distractions which seem to follow him where ever he goes.

You want a cheap weapon with some real potential and upside? Give Edelman a contract.

Are you sure Josh Freeman can run the option? Based on what exactly?

Well in his four years he has gained 902 yard and a 4.7 yard per carry average. He had 4 tds. He's 6'6" and 240. So is is a huge kid. His best 40 was about a 4.8 (he thinks he can do a 4.7). Not bad as far as QB's go, who do not train for that sort of thing. A.D. would certainly run the ball mostly. Although Ponder was fairly fast he is brittle so no one worried about defending him on any option. You just need to make the Defense think Freeman could and run it a few times. He is almost 5 yards per carry to Vick's 7 YPC.

I do think that Nassib might make it into the first round, he is a very good QB. I also think that his old coach, now the HC in Buffalo, is the one who is going to take him> Look for the Bills to move back in the first or jump back into the first to grab Nassib. BTW Marrone also brought Syracuse' offensive coordinator with him so yes, they are going to run the Syracuse offense in Buffalo next year.

Exactly. Cleveland used their Second Rounder for the Supplement Draft last year. BB is not going to trade Mallett for a just a third Rounder. Lombardi won't give up his first but knows Mallet might be better than Geno Smith with a couple of NFL snaps and camps under his belt. He also has been under the tutelage of Brady, Bill O'Brien and McDaniels so he should "get it" way before Smith. Lombardi knows this and entices the Bills to jump Arizona (I think that Geno Smith is between Buffalo and AZ).

Weeden wasn't this new regimes pick so dropping him to back up is not a problem for them. For the severe Cleveland winds and weather, Mallett has the better arm and is 5 years younger than Weeden.

This way Lombardi gets that second rounder to offer BB.

So the Trade numbers match up close on the value chart. Lombardi swaps his third for the Bills second.
I wanted to add a 2014 conditional pick as well for Mallett but neglected to put that in. So for Mallett the Pats get:
-Browns 2013 second rounder and a provisional 4th or 5th from the Browns in 2014.

OK. Next

-The Pats have few picks this year so BB goes to old friend TB Coach Schiano who really needs a TE and sees Eifert falling into the second even with a first round value, so he agrees to the trade and BB swaps this high second rounder from the Browns, for a third and fourth in 2013 from Tampa and a fourth in 2014. If you look up the value chart it is about correct.

So in essence BB gets four picks for Mallett. A third and a fourth this year and perhaps two fourths in 2014 (Cleveland's and Tampa's) We know he has to give the Steelers a third rouder for Sanders but he still retains a third rounder.I like Lattimore with that pick (most talented RB in this class before injury). He can red shirt him for 2013 and decide which RBs to keep in 2014. I think this is like the Curtis Martin deal. He was injured.

Lombardi was going to take a OT anyway and he winds up with Mallett and OT Fisher. Lombardi had only a third rounder. What QB could he have gotten in this weak class?

Schiano had to give away his first for Revis but he gets it back by swapping Freeman (who he did not have confidence in and was in his contract year) to Minn. (who had two #1s from the Harvin deal) and uses that pick for a QB that he was familiar with in the Big East in Nassib, and he gets Cassel to hold the fort for a while and also gets a first round value T.E. in Eifert. Schiano winds up with Revis, Nassib, Cassel and Eifert.

In my humble opinion, this trade helps both. Why keep Ponder and Cassel if they have interest in Freeman? Cassel was cheap insurance.

Who says that Minnesota has interest in Freeman? Also, I questioned how much Minnesota would have to give up. You had them giving up their 1st, Cassel, and a 4th round pick in 2014. Freeman isn't worth that. Not even close.

No, there have not been discussions that Seattle will cut Flynn. Seattle has come out and said they have no intention of cutting or trading Flynn unless they get what they want for him.

Flynn isn't MAKING 7.25 Million. That is his cap hit. After all these years, you still are clueless on that. And they won't cut him because, despite his cap hit, they are spending less on the QB position than most teams with him and Wilson combined.

It's hilarious that you call me lazy when you can't even be bothered to think beyond the end of your nose. Yes, Baltimore lost their #3 WR in Boldin. But, they lost 6 starters on defense. You mentioning them adding Dumervil. A situational pass rusher who isn't very good against the run. What about the MLB, the coverage LB, and the 2 safeties they lost? Or the OT and OC they need to replace?

Using their #1 pick on a WR when that is probably the deepest position in the draft and when they have larger holes that need to be filled just makes no sense. It shows absolutely no thought on your part, contrary to what you claim.
