Here's a more serious/subtle take at some keys to victory:
Defensive keys to victory:
1. Tackling. MJD will get his yards, but we can't let him break tackles and break of big plays.
2. Keep David Garrard in the pocket. Garrard is a bit like a poor man's Rothlisberger, he's big and hard to take down, and is at his most dangerous when he breaks outside of the pocket and creates big plays out of broken plays.
Offensive keys to victory:
3. Spread the ball around. Jacksonville doesn't have the playmakers on defense to stop our offense unless we get predictable.
4. Run enough to keep them honest. Jax is 12th is rushing defense but 27th in passing defense. I don't expect to dominate the ground game, but we still have to run the ball enough to be effective. We can't just go with the spread offense and the shotgun all the time.
Overall keys to victory:
5. Be physical. Jacksonville is not a finesse team, and they won't surprise you. But they will beat you up. They are very physical, and the Pats need to match their physicality and intensity. Come out with a half-hearted effort, and we will get beat.
Hope you like those better.
This guy knows what he's talking about.
