It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Don't be surprised when there is not a DE selected with the Pats first 3 picks. They have too many guys wiith only 1-2 years under their belts (Brace, Deaderick, Richard, Weston)to give up on them. They will probably sign G. Warren in addition to Stroud for veteran prescence. This year is the year to upgrade the OL.
I can't begin to think whom you might consider an equivalent DE value at #28? I'd have considered Wilkerson at #17 good value, especially not being a fan of Smith's. Frankly the next 3-4 DE prospects who might fit NE are better values in the mid-second or later, and the one which might have the pass rush Wilkerson can bring is a character risk.cant blame irish hooligan bc this mock doesnt permit it, but i feel like why would we take wilkerson there when we can trade back a few picks, get a little bit more, and take a player of equal value
I hated making the Smith pick at 17 especially considering that Ingram is my binkey, but I gambled on Wilkerson being there, I loved that pick at 28.
The Eagles play a two-gap front similar to NE, that's partly why the bastitches are always stealing my LB binkies! :enranged:I think it was a solid pick that I would be thrilled with. Wilkerson was one of my final 3 for The Eagles at 23. I hated to pass on his talent. I felt that he would be a DT in Philly's 4-3 set, but he is probably better suited as DE in some teams 3-4 sets. The Eagles seem to lean more towards lighter DE's. I also felt that the Eagles Oline need was greater (as well as other positions that did not have great talent at my pick).
Twas well done, you cannot have too many good big men.I hated making the Smith pick at 17 especially considering that Ingram is my binkey, but I gambled on Wilkerson being there, I loved that pick at 28.
Im the GM for Chicago and picking 2morrow at 6pm. Ill be out of town till 2mrw evening but should be home 6 to 7ish and ill get the pick in as soon as I get home.
nice pick Dufflebagz. I was pretty shocked when I came home and saw who was available. 5 definite top 20 Picks were there. Finally, based on need I was down to 3. I picked Solder over Gabe Carimi, but I couldn't tell you if there was a right, or wrong choice between them. I liked the edge of athleticism that Solder had as a former TE (ask Box, I am a sucker for TE's turned tackles * cough* Joe Staley* cough). Plenty of talent still available...

Let's see if the Jets take the gift wrapped package that should have gone in the top 20.
I've no doubt Wilkerson would upgrade them at DT.Are you still sore about them drafting Chris Gocong in the third round of '06, then drafting Stewart Bradley in the same round of '07? So I am. I remain convinced that we traded out of the '07 third because they took Bradley 4 spots ahead of us... But all this is for another thread.
What I was trying to get at was on their present roster at DE they have Parker @ 250, Cole @ 270, Te'o-Neshun (3rd rd last year) @ 263, McCray @ 260, Tapp @ 270, and Parker @ 295. Stewart Bradley weighs close to that much. Most of the weight on their D is inside. Presently I don't think that D tackle is one of their biggest needs with Dixon and Patterson now (though every position is upgradable...).

If the Jets GM is a no show would you like to pick for them?
Sure I don't mind.
Ok in an hour you can make the pick and you will be the new GM of the Jets.
McCray is a UFA and probably not going to be back. I think Patterson will have a difficult transition to Washburn's style of DL. Only Dixon and Bunkley have the height that he likes his DT's to have. They have a lot of DL guys signed because of all the injuries last year. With it looking like Brandon Graham will not be back until 2012 DE/DT looks like it will be a need coming into this draft mainly because thier guys are undersized and have issues stopping the run.
