Congratulations, Bill. Its been quite an amazing season but its not over yet!

I love it!!!

The sanctimonious sports experts and talking heads for the most part hate BB with a passion because he refuses to give them what they believe is their rightful due. He makes them actually work to do their jobs rather then delivering it to them on a silver platter with an appropriate bow.

So the fact the majority of sports writers voted BB Coach of the Year says its about what he has accomplished with this team rather then about what they think of BB.

That my folks is one helluva accomplishment indeed.

16-O can not be ignored even by those who desire to ignore it with all their might.

BRAVO TO BB, HE DID IT THE OLD FASHION WAY, HE EARNED IT!!!!!!!

I expect it. Pats is going to steal every NFL award and this is one of them. BB deserves it.

No brainer, which is a good thing, not sure the media could handle anything more.

It's up on NFL.com now as well...

I believe its official now - I wouldn't be surprised if the AP sped up their announcement because of the Herald Article. Other outlets are attributing it to the AP and not the Herald

I'm sure they'll ask the voters to keep the results to themselves in the future too

How can you not give it to Belichick. 15-1 is a different story.

While I recognize that if we fail to win the SB it will be termed a "failed" season, and I don't disagree - but it should also be recognized that 16-0 is quite an accomplishment.

Do the math - how many teams have won Super Bowls?

How many teams have gone 16-0 in the Regular Season?

Just like with Merriman and steroids last year, doesn't matter what the stats say, when you do the kind of thing he did you should be disqualified for individual awards. Call me a Jets fan all you want, that's how I feel.

Then no one would ever win Coach of the Year, period.

Everyone. Tapes.

Everyone. Steals. Signs.

They gut busted for where the camera was filming from, not for filming.

Jesus, there are some dumb f***s in this world.

Okay, I usually avoid you, but I have to ask. Are you a Pats fan? Seriously, dude, are you? I have never seen you make a positive post about them. You focus on more negative things than anybody I've ever seen. I guess you are one of the ones people talk about when they say New Englanders are negative.

I'm all for taking the homer glasses off and realize that this team is not absolutely perfect and there is room to reflect. They aren't going to do everything right. You just take it to a level I've never seen. Every damn thing is something negative. Not even something off the cuff and casual, deep seeded negativity is all you seem spew.

I may be wrong, I just can't understand how someone who calls themself a fan can be so critical all the time. We just had a perfect regular season. A PERFECT SEASON!!! What the crap more do you want?

Recent thread I started. As positive as you can get. Your whole theory just went down the tubes.

Well, in my opinion this award should go to the coach who's team exceeded expectations by the biggest margin. Everyone knew the Pats were going to be legitimate contenders this year, though nobody thought they'd go 16-0. Belichick did a fantastic job keeping his team focused all year and as usual he made tremendous adjustments in the face of adversity. Certainly anyone with an IQ in the double digits could make a case for him.

However, I think this award should've gone to MaCarthy in Green Bay. They weren't expected to do anything at all this year and look at the season they've had. Again, to me, it's all about exceeding expectations, and nobody did a better job of that this year than MaCarthy did.

Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

nothing negative about that. if we go 19 & 0 no one will celebrate more than I.

I'm not going to get in a pissing match with you about negativity and then celebrating what you, for the most part, did not support.

Did you see Major League 2? Randy Quaid was awesome in it. He was the most negative jerky fan and then at the end when the Indians won it, he was a fan. All the guys around him smacked him. When they do win, consider yourself smacked.;)

Awesome! Just heard it on TV. I also though the national media would stick it to him. Attaboy Bill. :)

Is the one person who gets a ticket any worse than the 31 others who don't get caught speeding by?

By your standards, when could BB win Coach of the Year? Or is he forever disqualified?
