Waddle re-signed, two years: answer at swing tackle?

Cannon's future will be determined by Scar. Perhaps, Cannon played better with him coaching.

As a depth signing I'm more than OK with this, I'm just not excited with the possibility of him being the immediate backup for Solder and Vollmer. I don't think it's a huge upgrade over Fleming and a Cannon coached by scar.

Love Cannon's story, but Scar is a coach, not a miracle worker...:)

As far as Waddle,

Solid deal for a position in need of youth.

He looked fine in his 37 snaps with the Patriots, but I really don't think people realize how terrible he was with the Lions before getting cut. Hopefully he's better this coming season another year removed from his torn ACL, but I'm having a hard time getting as excited about this as many people seem to be.

I've never watched him, but I don't understand at all why a guy who wasn't good enough for the Lions would somehow be a blessing for the Pats.

But then Edelman, Amendola and LaFell wouldn't have been good enough receivers for the Lions last year. So maybe I don't get it.

There's a Reason why they call'm "Waddle." ;)

He's not without Skill, but if'd bothered wrighting'm up, it would've been as an Auxiliary ~ 6th/7th Rounder.

This is nobody I'd want as Next Mann Up if I can help it.

I'd keep looking, if I were Bill.
I wonder how much Waddle waddled when he waddled in to sign his contract.

Pats must have liked what they saw in the three snaps he played last year.

He should be considered merely competition for OT depth. I really hope they didn't over-pay.
$1.2M a year, not much for reasonable depth. He could be the #3 to #4 OT.

From what I read most Lions fans thought he was serviceable as a starter. He got injured and tried to play before he was 100% and in the meantime some kid played well and the lions did not want to keep a spot for an injured/dinged player and let him go. such is life for roster spots 45-53

He will be a cheap backup, if Cannon was in this kind of salary level i would likehim.. hes cap number for 2 years is half of Cannon s number for 2016 ALONE

Scar is back, Waddle they sign him for 2 more years, i think that means they wont draft an OT. They ( cannon/waddle) will battle in camp for 1 spot. They just drafted 2 G so they wont draft another one so soon and Kline is a good backup. Stork was/is really good and Andrews is GREAT for his cap number. I think just a guess they will double-dip WR LB TE, sign one ´´big`` name vet and thats it. i hope they bring Hicks back.

Cannon is on the books at $4.8mm.
Waddle at under $1mm. Great deal.
Fleming at $675K.
Cannon will have to have a fantastic training camp to survive that comparison.

I like it ...
We need more tackles ...
Also sign tackles who can play guard from now on... not the other way around.

I don't care if Scar can make Cannon serviceable, hes making too much money. Cut him.
Yes I mean come on ****-or-get-off-the-pot ... either you get better or you don't ... he's had enough time.

at some point the best coaching and the best practicing is futile ....

"Who names their kid 'LaAdrian?' "

I'm sure Fitzy will be thrilled by this move.
