Has anyone watched Mariota a lot this year?

Big fan of marios because he's really coachable. Unfortunately for him, the Titans coaches suck.

no, but I assume he will do better than Kerry collins in 2009 with his -7 passing yards

Also, I think the broken plays have a lot more to do with mobile quarterbacks than bad deep safety play. Mariota is mobile.

Marcus has hardly run that much this year. It has not really been since the last few weeks marcus has started running more.

One big misconception about Marcus is that he was a running QB. Dude is a QB that can run. I cannot count how many times when he was at Oregon, I would be screaming at the TV for Marcus to run, and then Marcus would nail a pass.

The guy has a chance to be special. He has all the tools, just needs the coaching.

I will bet mcdaniels has watched him a lot this year, seeing if he's worth changing teams for.

I would love for Josh to coach Marcus. But the ownership group(Bud Adams heirs) is such a mess in Tennessee, Josh should probably stay away.

Makes sense. Let's just hope he stays a pocket QB this weekend. The Patriots defense, year after year, no matter how good they are, absolutely falls apart when the QB runs out of the pocket on a broken play. It should be an easy sack or INT but it always ends up a 30 yard play.

I will admit this has been less of a problem this year (and so has the rest of the defense, which makes sense).

I also don't think the Titans really have a chance. As someone mentioned (maybe you, don't feel like scrolling up), they really don't have much of anything on the roster. But we shouldn't be surprised if we see a couple big scrambles or completed bombs to mediocre WRs.

The Titans are bad. Marcus is going to have a bad game Sunday, it is what it is. Walker is really the only O player that is good and dependable for the Titans, and Bill will take him away.

This should be a blow out. I just hope Marcus puts up some stats in garbage time. Which should be the second half. lol

The Pats will take away what he does best..scramble...he can't do that and has to go though the reads...long day for him

When he's been forced to stay in the pocket, he starts to sweat bit, do the happy feet dance, as it were. Mostly because he has such a poor surrounding cast, he tries to take the team on his shoulder and that's when he begins to make a mistake here and there. Tries to force the ball like Drew Bledsoe used to, trying to make SOMETHING happen.

I agree that with time and some talent around him, he has the foundation(s) to be a very good QB, and that for a long time if he can stay healthy.

The way the Patriots' defense has been playing, coupled with that supporting cast of his, I think the Titans would be lucky to keep it close, maybe score 20 pints, etc.

But we'll see. On any given Sunday, etc.

If Phi beat us so could the Titans, no game is a lock any given Sunday.

You have not watch much of Marcus in the NFL I see. B/c if you did, you would say, "the Pats will take away Walker and the short to 15 yard passes".

As to making Marcus go through his reads, that will not be a problem, most will be covered, b/c they will not be able to gain separation.

Nah, the Titans ST are bad too. This game is going to be ugly for the Titans.

Rookie QB's are going to rook. I am a huge fan of Marcus, I just want to point out this redzone TD by Marcus. Not many rooks can do this.

This play is to Walker all the way, watch Marcus look off the safety, then the LB(who jumps the route on sankey) and hits Walker. Pretty much a no look pass from a rook. This is so pretty.

PHI was coming out of one of the worst stretches of football ever played in recent memory, but overall, they're not nearly as bad as the Titans this year. But what you're saying is "any given Sunday", and it's true. Tennessee can win. They shouldn't, though.

68.5%
63.5%
68.3%

I didn't watch him much at Oregon, but those numbers say he was pretty accurate. He's at 62.4% this year.

Stats don't tell the story. I live in Oregon and watched almost every game. He had a lot of wide open receivers. He missed the hard throws more than I would have liked.

I don't bother talking about any QB until at least their 3rd year.

I'm glad he never went to the Jets---there was so much buzz about him landing with NYJ in the draft. He's a solid qb who would be lethal with a top tier coach. Tennessee is NFL siberia
