If the Pats have clinched the first seed, anyone who's even a little banged up won't see the field and starters will play a very limited number of snaps. The more I read about a "jones fracture" the more optimistic I become that Edelman will be back for the Jets game on 12/27.
It will work out well, he can play a limited role against the Jets and Dolphins to finish the season, then have a bye week and come out full go in the division game.
Looks more and more like Dobson wasn't that good to begin with. That sounds like a recipe for a 2013 Dobson-style reinjury.

Here's a video on the surgery
I swear, you can Youtube how to do ANYTHING.
agreed, id much rather have him stay out the rest of the regular season and come back after the first round bye fully healthy. They kind of did that last year with him when they held him out of the last two games of the season6 weeks puts him available for Miami. I don't think you'll see him again till the playoffs. Makes no sense to rush him back
