Personally, I have no idea what you are talking about. It looked like Barry Sanders to me.

I don't know how they do it. Clearly this is a guy who nobody else wanted. Today in a couple of plays (trying not to go TOO overboard), he looked like a combination of Barry Sanders and Gale Sayers. Of course he is not in the same ballpark to those great talents. However, how do the Patriots get players that nobody else wants that can flash something similar even for a few plays?

Also one thing i really like about this Pats team is that many of the corner stones on it are home grown.

Butler/McCourty/Collins/Hightower/Nink/Jones/Brady/Gronk/Edelman/Ect..

The only big time contributors this year that are not originally Pats are Lewis, Sheard and Brown (CB)

Shows how well the Pats have done in the draft and FA lately that they are able to build a team like this and not need much in FA to fill out the rest.

Also Shread while impressive is not someone we could not do without. Flowers/Grissom I think would be able to fill in and you would not all that bad off though you would lose something.

Lewis has look very good but White has looked good this year in limited reps. Again you lose something (Particularly on change of pace run plays) but you could survive without it.

Brown you just need. Plain and simple. I would not be happy with Ryan as the #2. Too much of a drop off.

Did he said something about that? What I said was actually in response to some of the posts in this thread about "halftime adjustments."

Belichick from the transcript: "Like I just said, we made those adjustments from the first series. I mean, we don’t wait until halftime. There’s nothing magic about halftime, as soon as we see what they’re doing, then we need to be ready to address it."

The NFL record is 102 by Matt Forte.

For all you X and O guys, what was the halftime adjustment that prevented any 2nd half sacks after giving up five in the first half?
"We just blocked better" - I assume BB would say this.

The first half had you wondering what was going on, but the adjustments they made in the 2nd half wee very effective. The game was almost boring, except the defense was doing an excellent job (bend but don't break) and Amendola's catch that was called back (followed up by JE11's 59 yarder).

Weeden had to keep taking the dump off passes. he may have had 19 in a row (or close to it), but it probably amounted to less than 4 yds per catch and maybe a bit for with YAC.
I think the cowboys gave up after weeden kept sucking as the game went on. He was terrible.

Teams that go deep in the playoffs get guys back from injury late in the season. We are only going to get better after this game, because Dez is coming back.

I want to see what Weeden can do with an elite WR on the field.
Better make sure that foot is fully healed, though. Foot injuries that aren't allowed to properly heal are devastating for WR's.

And he's not a one trick pony like some rushers. Great against the run and can rush inside and outside. They're using him and Chandler to free up Collins inside. that's devastating.
That first sack of his was sick. Just incredible interior push.

Hightower probably miss the next game or two, then inset Jon Bostic and B

I doubt he will keep up this pace but his output so far has him on pace for

720 yards rushing
950 yards receiving
(1670 total yards)
12 total TD

BTW, the Lions pulling Stafford today is pretty much the same as that team striking the colors. I expect the Patriots to look over that Detroit roster to see if there's anything of interest.
Rashean Mathis would be a great veteran presence if affordable

Is there a better find in the NFL this season? I just hope he stays injury free.
