OT: Is this the last season for Drew Brees with the Saints?

I always liked Brees, he's a great guy . It would be sad if he has just declined, I am more inclined to believe that his recent sub -par game is due to an injury that isn't being disclosed.

Rapport has tweeted that Brees is likely to miss "potentially several games" because of a shoulder injury.

For those of you who don't believe in cap hell, I urge you to click on this link. Make sure to bring lots of cold water with you.
They've gotten into the evil circle of cap hell. It seems like every season they have cap problems. So they restructure some contracts to give them a larger signing bonus, which gives them cap space. But it also pushes the problem into the next year. Which forces them to keep players who are guaranteed more than they are worth, because of the restructure. And release guys because they can't afford to keep the ones they want, because of the evil circle of other signing bonus restructures.

Couldn't Goodell just allow the Saints to be relieved of some of the cap burden, like he did for his beloved Rats?

Even subpar who do they think they can get thats better? Either a declining Brees or Ryan Fitzpatrick/Josh Mcnown type....

at 36 and an injured throwing shoulder, he may be done completely after this year

I don't know about next season, but this one, already onto week 3 and 0-2, he will be IR'd for sure.

Remind me again what the bs explanation for that one was.

Thank you for that reminder.
Amazing that many of us had forgot the special clause in the CBA that gave the Jets millions of needed cap relief. That and the Revis tampering penalty of $100K are MAJOR story opportunities neglected by the NY centric press.

I think drew would do a better job on the broncos then peyton is right now lol
