Terrelle Pryor

Stud athlete, but the fact that the Browns cut him doesn't speak highly of his talent/skillset.

IMO I would try to trade a bottom-end roster guy for a late pick and being Pryor in. It's not often that you can get an athletic freak like this for relative pennies. Even if he's game-day inactive for a little while, he's worth it on upside alone.

IIRC he wasn't fully back from injury yet, and I also wouldn't put much faith in Ray Farmer's talent management

Weird. Initial reports say he received a 7 on his Wonderlic which is 4th grade level then later a 22 which is decent.

Read a rumor that he was allowed to re-take it.
I wonder what Earnie Adams would score on the Wonderlic?

IIRC the story is that Pat McNally, who was a punter from Harvard got the only perfect score (50) and finished the test in 1/2 the time (6min as opposed to 12).

Thats what Ernie needs to beat!

Remember back in 09 when we had Isaiah Stanback?

It's tough to have a project player w/o PS eligibility, especially on a roster as stacked as ours.

The Patriots could survive without DT Thornton, S Nate Ebner/Tavon Wilson, or WR Chris Harper (who does have PS eligibility) to open a spot.

But why would they want to do that?

6 ft 4½ in 240 lb 4.38

That's Calvin Johnson size and speed. He's certainly intriguing.

Without Calvin Johnson route running, Calvin Johnson experience, Calvin Johnson hands ...

Yeah, I'm not saying they should sign him, but I would be excited if they did because it would mean they think he can help the team and his potential could be very high if he can learn route running and has decent hands. There aren't many people on the planet with that combination of size and speed. He was an outstanding college QB and started 9 games in the NFL at QB so he should have a good understanding of offense. Edelman made the switch, maybe he can too.

That's why he'd be player #53, rather than player #1. The numbers are intriguing. The problem is his lack of P.S. eligibility, combined with the Patriots WR issues.

I foresee a trade with Tampa Bay for #33....(which will be the same as #32) except one year less max length of contract and an overnight to decide who to draft....

The NFL needs to revisit the practice squad eligibility rules. There isn't a good reason for a guy like Pryor to not qualify. The same goes for Tebow who has made some strides with his throwing and could potentially help a team if he continues to improve.

They need a true minor league, but they don't want to sponsor a money loser, and they screwed up in Europe, so that's out as an immediate option.

Despite his Downs Syndrome appearance, Eli Manning scored in the high 40s IIRC

Based on that goal line sequence you would have thought he scored a 4.

Brady got a 33 which is also very good.
