Although the appellate review was supposed to be more about process than evidence, Berman asked about what direct evidence the NFL had of deflation and of Brady’s involvement, beyond the circumstantial evidence raised in the Wells report. The NFL attorneys had to be shaking their heads at a line of inquiry questioning the evidence the league spent $3 million to collect.

Berman ripped the NFL apart when it came to evidence that the balls were deflated at the Colts game.

Does Silver still claim that? I know he used to, then he was wrong every step of the way about Brady and the Pats re: their last big contract negotiation. Since then, IMO Silver's acted like a spurned, jealous lover.

I haven't watched anything from Silver since the suspension was handed down so I'm not sure. That was the last time I heard him say that.
